I don’t know if you’re Hawaiian, so forgive me if I’m wrong, but I’m gonna assume you’re not since you’ve not given me the meanings of these words. So- stuff like this teeends to make me nervous with naming, just grabbing random words from a marginalized language you don’t know. Hawaiian language and culture already experiences a lot of offhand disregard and it doesn’t need it from ye old fantrolls!
So let’s rename our good man to… Biarit Dawpat.
Biarit is from the city of Biarritz, the first place where surfing was ever practiced in Europe. It’s a common surfing destination to this day!
Dawpat comes from Dawn Patrol, a term used for going surfing first thing in the morning, but also a subtle reference to him being a guard- he could have a patrol shift in the morning!
Age: Somewhere around 15 sweeps? idk its about 20 in human years.

Can’t be a water one, since he’s an indigo. But you could do like… a Keldeo.
A lusus but in this shape. Because Keldeo can’t swim, but CAN run across the surface of water. Very helpful ally for a surfer.
Personality: Ohe is a very chill person. He’s extremely kind and reassuring, helping others when they need help, though hes kind of a lone wolf, just goin on whatever path life takes him to go. However, he works as a royal guard for the lowblood prison. Hes one of the top guards, but he doesn’t like his job, it wasn’t even really his choice to go into it. So, he secretly frees lowbloods when he’s not on duty, letting them choose their own path. Unless they’re actually bad criminals. Duh. On his offtime, hes basically a surfer dude. Hes super chill, and has too many surfboards for his own good. He is, however, a little (a lot) overconfident, despite actually being a good surfer. He seems to bite off more than he can chew, jumping from one thing to the next.
I do like this personality, but definitely consider How and Why he started doing the lowblood thing and also how he gets away with it. Are all the other guards sympathetic to his cause and turn a blind eye? Does he intimidate the guards into ignoring it? Does he have to be sly about it and he’s at risk of being caught? All of these will help inform how you want to develop his personality. You could just make him someone who’s good at leading by example and who convinced everyone to go along cautiously, or you could have his highblood anger leak in and help him use that to convince people, or you could have him be a bit paranoid. It’s all interesting possibilities!
And does he help the criminals once they’re released or does he just turn them loose? That’ll inform how you expand his personality, too!

Design time:
Hair/horns: I added a little extra hair on the bottom to make sure it looked like the hair was swept back instead of up. I also moved one horn over and put the hair over it to give the hair more dimension!
Glasses: I added shines and I got rid of the flashing. While it was cool, it was a lil distracting and Overdetailed for such a simple outfit- maybe it’s something he could alchemize later, or an alternative accessory he has but doesn’t wear all the time!
Outfit: I did some outline color editing for better visibility, added the sign, and transformed his shorts into swimtrunks.
Shoes: He has an Adult Job, so he can’t just be barefoot! So I added some wet shoes.
