After the funeral, Dax's family took Noah and went back to the island. Dax just couldn't bring himself to leave Alysia. Her parents came to the funeral, along with her sister and brother and many other family members. Everyone was kind and offered their sympathies, except for Alysia's father.

While mourning the loss of the love of his life, and the mother of his baby, Dax was interrupted by Mr. Burkett.

ROBERT- "So you are the son of a bitch that killed my daughter!!  You will pay for this! God has seen your evil and he has punished you. And furthermore, don't think for one moment that I am going to let YOU raise MY grandchild!"

DAX- "First of all, You don't know me, or anything about me. You through your own daughter out of her home when she needed you the most. And for your information, I will raise your Grandson, as Noah is MY CHILD! You never wanted him to begin with, so don't even think you will have ANYTHING to do with him now, or ever. Alysia and I were privately married, so legally, there is NOTHING you can do except go back to your happy little world and wait to die!"

Noah Michael Ramsey was born twenty minutes after arriving at the hospital. The doctors worked frantically on Alysia, trying to stop the bleeding. Unfortunately, forty minutes later Noah's mother passed away. Official cause of death, was complications from childbirth. Dax, was devastated, but thankful their son survived.

DAX- "Noah, I know it is not going to easy for us with your mother not here to help us, but we will do this!"

Dax and Alysia were so excited about the new baby coming. They had an ultrasound done, and found out their baby was a boy!

DAX- "Hey little guy, what would you liked to be named?"

ALYSIA- "I like Noah, I think we should name him Noah Michael Ramsey."

DAX- "Sounds great, I like that a lot, so that's it, your name is Noah! Just a few more weeks and we can see you!!"

Finally Dax regained his composure, and looked Alysia in the eyes...

DAX- "Alysia, I am sorry, no it wasn't a mistake. It was a lapse of judgment, but now we have created a life. I love you and I know I just said that we don't need a child, but...it's out of our hands. To be honest, this is amazing, and you have made me very happy. We will need to talk to our parents and go from there. Regardless of their advise, this is our baby and our choice and I want to make you my wife."

ALYSIA- "Dax...I thought you would just throw me aside. I should have known better, you are an amazing man. I love you.  I can tell you how my father is going to react, so I already talked to my sister Imani and she said if all else fails, she and her husband can take me in and help me."

DAX- "Let's not jump to conclusions, but if you need somewhere to go, it's going to be with me. Some how, some way, we WILL make this work!

The dancing and partying went on it seemed for hours. Dax had been thinking all night about what his dad had said a few weeks ago, about making decisions and basing them on responsible actions. He knew that he loved Alysia, but what they did that night on the island was irresponsible and he felt this was a good time to talk to her about it, so he took her outside.

ALYSIA- "Why did you bring me way out here, you are being all secretive."

DAX- "I just wanted to talk to you about something. You know I love you, more than anything in the world. And someday I want to make you my wife. But...'

ALYSIA- "I have a feeling I am not going to like this but."

DAX- "No, this isn't anything bad. I was just thinking about what we did a few weeks ago out at the bluffs. I mean it was amazing, but it was very irresponsible. I mean we are about to be seniors in High School, and the last thing we need is to make an irresponsible decision that could affect us for the rest of our lives. I mean, I know you want to go to college, as do I and I want to be able to give you everything you want. I want us to be happy and successful. What we did was wrong Alysia."

Alysia began to cry and break down sobbing.

DAX- " I am sorry that this upset you, but we shouldn't do that, I mean without protection anymore. We don't want to make that kind of mistake and wind up with a baby we can't take care of."

Alysia continued to cry and sob, she was very visibly upset.

DAX- "Please, Alysia, I mean I love you, very much but a mistake like that could be life altering for us ."

ALYSIA- "STOP!!! Stop saying that. It wasn't a mistake. Love is never a mistake. PLEASE STOP!!"

DAX- "It's not that I don't love you I DO, but we just...

ALYSIA- "I said stop Dax. It's too late."

DAX- "I am sorry but..."

ALYSIA- "But nothing, It's too late Dax. I'm already pregnant!"

Dax was dumbfounded. He tried to speak but couldn't.

As she walked down the walkway to meet him, Dax could not imagine that such a beautiful woman loved him. She radiated. He was dating the Junior Prom Queen! Soon they would celebrate their 17th birthdays and enter their senior year of high school. As she came towards him, he took her hands into his.

DAX- "Alysia, you are absolutely stunning."

ALYSIA- "You are not too shabby yourself Mr. Ramsey-Holmes.

DAX- "I come from good stock!"

ALYSIA- "Let's get into the dance, before they start without us!'

They spent the rest of the evening together, dancing and hanging out with their friends. It was certainly an enchanted evening.

After Cal's conversation with Dax, he told Reed what he suspected, and why Dax was asking all the questions...

CAL- "I think Dax may be trying to understand his sexuality."

REED- "Seriously, that is what you got out of the conversation?"

CAL- "Why else would he be asking if I knew I was gay before I met you, and about you having Lee with Michaela."

REED- "It could just be curiosity, but then again you may be right. I mean it's highly likely that one of our children may be gay."

CAL- "Yeah, I know. I am just glad he feels comfortable talking to us about it. I am sure he will figure it all out."

REED- "Yes, How about we go to bed and call it a day?"

Meanwhile, Dax has snuck out of the house....

DAX- "So, Alysia you still going to meet me, I am on my way there now."

DAX- "Dad, can I ask you a serious question?"

CAL- "Of course you can, son, what's on your mind?"

DAX- "I know that the way you and dad met, was not in the conventional way. Uncle Johnny told me how you met on a bachelor reality type show, but how after meeting all those men did you know that Dad was the one?"

CAL- "Wow, that's a good question...To be honest Dax, I didn't know right away.  I mean when I first met him, it was in an interview for the show, and if I recall it wasn't all lights and whistles. But after that first week, I knew he was the one I wanted, regardless of how the challenge went. I was going to pick your Dad, even if he was eliminated. That first kiss, I knew.  I am not sure he did, as I think he was taken off guard, but I knew right then I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. So is there a reason you ask, Dax?"

DAX- "Uh...no not really. But you knew before going on the show that you were gay right?"

CAL- "Oh, yes, I knew very early on that I preferred guys. I never had a sexual interest in girls."

DAX- "Okay, just wondering...but Dad had a girlfriend at one point and had Lee, right?"

CAL- "Yes, he and Lee's mom were good friends, but she wasn't really a girlfriend actually. But you would need to ask your dad about that, I wasn't there."

DAX- "Did it bother you that he had been with a woman, and had a child?"

CAL- "No, not at all.  That was way before I knew your dad, and he didn't even know he had a daughter until after we were married. Lee was a blessing to us, and our family."

DAX- "so everything worked out."

CAL- "It certainly has. So why all the questions?"

DAX- "No reason really. Just wondered. Night Dad.

CAL- "Goodnight, Dax, Love you."

DAX- "Love you too."
