Started the process today of turning my off brand AirPods style headphone case into a more iron man color scheme just cause I thought it’d look cool(and it does so far). Got the whole thing painted base red and started detailing. I started the detailing by roughing in the design in pencil and tracing over that to make it more visible. I started detail painting but didn’t get super far yet. I have realized that I’m going to need to do quite a few layers of gold to cover the pen stencil marks but oh well. I’m also currently painting the outside fully so I can spray finish on it to try and get as much as possible to stay when the moving case joints scrape up the paint.
The pictures below where the case is white with green tape is before. The red and gold above are current progress so far.
