Sir Gareth pulled me aside today to ask about the potion ingredients I keep in my room; he was specifically interested in the bottle labeled Essence of Toad. I debated giving him false information, but on further consideration it seemed unwise to do so and potentially jeopardize my status as a guest here. Though Gareth seemed rather disappointed when I informed him that the contents of that bottle were really just ground-up mushrooms. I'm not sure what he was expecting- magical ingredients are rarely what they say they are. There's no reason to broadcast you're making potions to every shopkeeper you visit, after all.
