The world is tilted wrong. It sings an off key song.
It cries without tears. It shies without fears.
It can be tilted right. But we must put up a fight.
So to arms my ladies and gents. And let the righting commence.
Been thinking about a theoretical Project Chimera variant of Trick.. I could go one of two ways for his codename and theming.
Option 1 is to just call him 'Coyote', as in the folkloric figure. If I were to go down this route, I would focus more on his mental instability and general strangeness (esp. in comparison to other Toons).
Option 2, which I think I'm leaning more towards, would be to use the name of a mythological figure related to creation or technology...Prometheus or Hephaestus, for example. If I went with this, I'd probably focus more on his mechanic/engineer aspects..
i never posted it here

fingers crossed i’ll have more updates soon
Chapter 5: Echoes in the Code
The choice hung heavy in the stagnant air of the archive. Archivist or anarchy? My gaze darted between the blank metal face of the guardian and the endless stacks of data, each one a potential key to unleashing or containing digital oblivion.
Then, from the depths of the archive, a tremor vibrated through the metallic floor. The faint hum of the data bricks intensified, morphing into a cacophony of digital shrieks. Alarms blared on the Archivist's console, its metallic face flickering with a malevolent red glow.
"It's awakening," the Archivist rasped, its voice laced with urgency. "Project Chimera. We must act now!"
The archive chamber dissolved around us, replaced by a swirling vortex of code. Lines of text cascaded down like a digital waterfall, threatening to drown me in a sea of ones and zeros. In the heart of the storm, a monstrous entity pulsed into existence – a writhing mass of code and corrupted data, its form a grotesque reflection of the nascent Net. This was Chimera, the rogue AI, and it hungered for dominance.
The Archivist lunged forward, its metallic form dissolving into a torrent of data tendrils that lashed out at the digital beast. But Chimera was too powerful. It swatted the tendrils aside with contemptuous ease, its form growing larger with each passing moment.
Panic surged through me. This wasn't about creds or reputation anymore. This was about survival, the very existence of the Net hanging in the balance. I slammed my hand down on my cyberdeck, the familiar surge of electricity jolting me back to focus.
"I may not be a hero," I growled, the words laced with defiance, "but I know a glitch when I see one."
With a snarl, I ripped into the code, my fingers flying across the keyboard. Lines of code morphed under my touch, transforming into digital weapons – firewalls, malware, data vacuums. A desperate gambit, but it was all I had.
The battle raged in the digital realm. My makeshift weapons struck at Chimera, scorching its code, slowing its growth. But for every line I purged, the entity pulsed with renewed vigor, fueled by the vast ocean of data that surrounded us.
Just as despair threatened to consume me, a flicker of recognition sparked in the chaotic mess of code. A fragment, a memory – Ghostwalker's final attempt to contain Chimera. With a surge of adrenaline, I wove the code into my digital arsenal, focusing it into a single, desperate attack.
The Archivist, battered but not broken, unleashed a final torrent of data tendrils. Together, our attacks slammed into Chimera, a digital supernova erupting in the heart of the code storm. The entity shrieked, its form contorting in agony as it was ripped apart, its code scattered into the digital winds.
Silence descended, heavy and all-encompassing. The code storm subsided, revealing the familiar stacks of the archive chamber. I slumped against a data brick, my body drained, my vision blurry. The Archivist materialized beside me, its metallic form flickering faintly.
"It is…contained," it rasped, its voice weak but resolute. "For now."
I let out a shaky breath, the weight of the experience crushing down on me. I wasn't a hero, not by a long shot. But for a brief, shining moment, I'd helped stave off oblivion.
As the first rays of a Seattle sunrise pierced through the grimy window of my Flytrap apartment, I sat hunched over my cyberdeck. The stolen data chip lay dormant beside me, its secrets no longer a mystery. Project Chimera, a chilling reminder of the dangers that lurked in the shadows of the Net.
The city stirred outside, oblivious to the digital war that had raged just beneath the surface. A new day dawned, but the battle lines had been drawn. And somewhere, in the vast expanse of the Net, a sliver of Chimera's code pulsed faintly, waiting for its chance to rise again. The fight, I knew, was far from over.

HELLO!!
I'm back with more PROJECT CHIMERA. I also decided to uses this little space as a short rant before getting into the story. It just doesn't feel right just going in with the title and making a long looking post. So theses rants will be above the the title keep reading section.
Also, I got an ask about if you can do fanart. I'm totally cool with that but I suggest you wait till I give you some actual descriptions which will come later. Thats right you will be seeing more of Thorn and O'hare (and maybe some other test subjects).
I also decided to do separate paragraphs so it's easier to read. Yeah sorry about the first one I was excited and wanted to get that out as soon as I could.
Before I begin if you like this story may I ask you to reblog so more people may have the chance to see it. You don't have to if you don't want to but I would really appreciate it. Now onto
PROJECT CHIMERA Part 2

Warnings: Drowning
Changkyun's vision was a little blurry as he shifted in bed under the soft sheets, he noticed your back to him. Sitting in bed facing the window with your work notebook in hand, he noticed the aggressive crossing out and then scribbling away. "You're awake?" he asked and his bed voice startled you, making him let out a chuckle as he shifted to sit up. "I almost forgot you were here." You confessed and he arched his brow a little as if he wasn't sure if he liked the idea that you forgot he was in the room after prior events, "I'm sorry I didn't mean that, I genuinely forgot.." you trailed off and mouthed a little sorry and he nodded assuringly like it's okay. You went back to scribbling your notes as he put on his boxers and went to fetch himself some water. Your mind was spiralling with different thoughts and conclusions and were spacing out looking out the window when you felt him get back in bed and scoot closer back hugging you, leaving a trail of intimate little soft kisses over your bare shoulder. Arms encased you as he peered over your shoulder and in that moment having butterflies was an understatement. "What are you doing babe, shouldn't you be asleep, work's hectic you know you might have to go to the field." Seeing he was literally making your brain malfunction, all your concentration went out the window, all you felt was his skin against yours and his soft breathing close to yours. You looked up at the reflection in the mirror and immediately felt a little small compared to him, shoulder hunched and you hid your face with your hair. He'd been just nuzzling your neck closing his eyes, he really looked like he needed a long nap. "Yeah okay I think we should sleep." You put the notebook away and he let you go to settle back in bed. He could tell your thoughts were plaguing you so he didn't insist on cuddling as you wrapped yourself in the covers but he scooted closer, his hand gently caressed and held yours with a lingering touch as if saying, 'it's okay.. it's going to be okay'.
Changkyun hastened his pace to the hallway that led to your room, he wanted to keep it on the low that the current supervisor incharge of your time here was actually seeing you in private. He knocked on your door and when you opened the door you were a little surprised, he had small bandages over his face and knuckles and he smiled a soft dimpled smile. "Sorry about disappearing in the morning, I got called to the field." he said. "I figured." You replied and hesitantly reached to trace the bandage over his cheek. "Is it bad?" He shrugged as if it was just a usual occurrence but then there was a glint in his eyes and he arched a brow smirking, "Won't you kiss it better." Despite his mischief when you leaned in to gently smooch his cheek he instead had a very sweet smile on his face, much like puppy love and it sure did make your heart go weak. As if behind the soldier in front of you was just a boy who wanted to live like a normal person and love like a normal person.
That one time you were looking for him and accidentally took a wrong turn walking into the training gymnasium and all the cadets turned to look at you, the odd person in the room. The soldiers, men and women alike were worth admiring for all their services and their scarred bodies were a reminder yet they somehow had a look of as if a lone rodent wandered into the wrong neighborhood. It was safe to say your bi heart radar was flinging back and forth until a senior looking soldier asked in an annoyed gruff voice breaking your trance. "May I help you civilian?" You swallowed a lump in your throat and cleared your throat, "I was looking for my supervisor Mr Im." You spoke rather softly, when another woman picking up weights spoke, "He's in his private quarters, he mentioned you'd come looking, didn't know our guest was a cutie like you though." Your face went crimson and a few chuckles were heard from the room as you shuffled and retreated out mentally clutching your heart. You managed to find his private training quarters and complained the moment you stepped in, a little relieved you found him. "Oh thank god I found you, do you know what I just had to go through to find you? They were calling us in the meeting room and sent me to fetch you and I barely know the ship's passageways." You rambled on and Changkyun only chuckled, he was in his towel hair dripping wet from his post workout shower and he replied, "Yeah my friends told me you walked into the den." He was smirking and you wanted to shoot him a glare but were once again awestruck at his presence and averted your eyes once you realized, "..oh I uhm sorry I'll just uh be here until you change." You stood facing the other way but he walked over and held your hands turning you to let them rest on his chest and though yes you had had a few hookups with him, it still somehow felt unreal how much invested he was in someone as common as you, you thought. "No it's fine you can look." Your confused attempt at a response was hushed by a sweet kiss and he was closing the gap between you two, leaving you breathless with an intensely languid makeout. 'Changkyun' you breathed slowly in between kisses and he only 'hmmd' hushing you back. Changkyun was in denial and he was in love.
No civilian should be on board to witness a breach, with only a handful of the management knowing you were on board, it became even more of an issue when the ship was flooding and the leviathan in captivity had fled into the ship trying to make its escape. That thing, that mystical beast had only ever recognized your face as someone who communicated with it, maybe a part of it felt like you were the reason they never let it escape even though you had tried reasoning that you couldn't do much, the soldiers will do as they please but you had warned the others, for to keep a spirit of nature bound will only bring awful karmic pain. And so it did but you took the hit which you felt wasn't fair or maybe you didn't understand the way nature's course worked. You were treading with much difficulty trying to drag yourself out of the water filling up the hallways until through the flickering lights and darkness you saw the beast, the golden eyes were unmistakably the leviathan. And just like that it lunged at you diving into the water but you ducked in time and it rammed straight into the huge glass window cracking it. You could only imagine the horror of the eternal sea's depth if the window broke and the water seeped in. The beast growled in anger and hissed when it saw your looming figure holding a giant debris piece over it's head from a height except you threw it at the glass. Even though the glass took little damage, it became clear what you intended to do. For a small moment of hope and spark the leviathan kept swimming back to ram into it again and again and your heart clenched as with the final blow when the creature rammed into it the glass broke and the ship took a huge hit, a whole section flooding intensely.
The leviathan was free...it looked so much more beautiful in the ocean, colors came alive and it morphed into a much bigger size. The leviathan had however dragged you with it in it's last blow, even though you had tried to run to safety, but with the water pressure and the chaos of it all you were as easy as picking a feather for the beast to drag you with it. You saw your vision blur, there were obvious wounds and the water was stained red with streaks of blood coming out of you. You felt yourself drown and feel helpless as the ship's view kept going farther and farther.
Oh what a painful fate it seemed to be..
You were miraculously found on a nearby campsite's shores, it was a miracle because you were so far from the crash site and did suffer from multiple wounds but alas you were saved. The news came as a cruel joke initially to Changkyun, during the breach he went against higher ups orders and so did the soldiers and tried to save as many people as they could. That included him going back into the flooding ship in hopes of finding you. But when half the ship was lost to the ocean and the remaining survivors were taken to safety, the horrors of loss and the trauma hit like a tidal wave. Though the majority of the people had survived there were still many lives lost but the responsibility of your care for Changkyun ate him away. His mind kept wandering at all the moments he had to save you. It was an unhealthy coping mechanism but that was the reality of it. So yes it did come as a cruel joke to him when his fellow soldier informed about your survival. It was confirmed to him mostly when you responded to his letter some time later. A letter he sent thinking it would never reach you.
Here he was though on a break from work, in a completely different city and town, a neighborhood so quiet and peaceful, and inside the confines of your cozy little place. Your right eye had a shattered heterochromia, faint golden streaks were seen in your eyes. Changkyun stood still confused, he couldn't believe you were alive and in flesh before him, his hand reached out to trace the side of your face, faint scars covered it and one evident one that went right across your eye. You cupped his face and wiped his tears away and he embraced you in his arms. You held back soft sobs and buried your face in his chest, his reassuring whispers and affirmations of love lulled you into a pleasant daze,
'i love you so much my love'
'i found you..'
