my favorite sort of corporate nonsense which is clearly just for engagement but i don’t even care is when accounts manage to fish for cat pictures in the comments
like Obey me is pretending each of the boys is taking over twitter and they had the cat-holic character say “is it true that people send you cat pictures on here???” so now everyone in the comments is posting various pictures of their cats
or when GBF introduced Ewiyar and it resulted with everyone spamming pictures of their cats under Ewiyar’s twitter introduction to show off how alike they are
or when GBF reran the cat event with new colors for Young Cat and encouraged people to share pictures of their own cats with the same colors as the new Young Cat’s skins, to “bring your cat into gbf”
This is blatant fishing for engagement but if it’s for the kitties it’s the one and only way i think corporate are allowed to do it. Because it means cat pictures for all of us. We’re the real winners.
