DWC - May 2022 - Day 2 - Temperance/Gluttony
Moderation.
It wasn’t something he saw many of examples of, growing up.
His parents were always more concerned about appearing to be well off than they did about actually taking care of their business…his uncle more concerned about living in excess and finding new ways to weasel his way into the lives of those with more gil and with more power than he had.
No, there were very few examples of moderation in his childhood, and so when, as a young adult, he very quickly learned that the excess he’d been surrounded by for most of his life was a good way to end up with a target on his back, and since his goal was to not to draw attention to himself (most of the time) he was forced to make changes.
Drink, but not too much.
Flirt, but mind the line.
Tease, but don’t push too far.
In work, all things in moderation.
…But off the clock? Well, a little gluttony now and again never hurt anyone, did it?
