This is a college AU where DogDay grapples with the uncertainty of opening his heart to someone new (Catnap) or clinging to the hope of one day getting back with his ex (Simon Smoke).
DogDay has had two relationships that have left him deeply hurt. Whenever something bigger or more important than him came along, his partners chose to cut him out of their lives. This has led to him being difficult to open up emotionally and be vulnerable, even though he's generally a social and friendly person. The only exceptions to this are his best friends, Hoppy and Kickin.
His first relationship was with Bubba Bubaphant, an elephant from a wealthy family who tutored him when he was thirteen because he had trouble paying attention. Their relationship lasted just under five months, but Bubba decided to end it because he felt he had to strive for perfection. DogDay, being energetic, sociable to a frankly uncomfortable degree, and short-sighted, wasn't what his family expected in a relationship.
Simon Smoke was a breath of fresh air. At seventeen, they began a relationship after becoming friends on various school sports teams, especially basketball. Their relationship was the best thing that could have happened to each other, and they planned to propose in their twenties. However, Simon received an athletic scholarship that forced him to choose between leaving the country or staying to live his dream life with DD. In the end, they decided to leave their relationship right where they left it. If they're still in love when they return, they'll have what they've longed for.
And then there's Catnap! A musical prodigy who suffers from severe anxiety, he comes to this university campus drawn by the promise of peace from his two friends, Crafty and Bobby. Although he never expected to make more friends, he certainly didn't expect to meet the cutest guy and fall in love with him.
Now, they both have to give themselves the chance to open up emotionally and, just maybe, experience a real romance.

Este es un AU universitario donde DogDay tiene que lidiar con la incertidumbre de abrir su corazón a alguien nuevo (Catnap) o vivir con la esperanza ciega de algún día regresar con su ex (Simon Smoke).
DogDay ha tenido dos relaciones que lo han dejado profundamente herido, pues cuando venían cosas más grandes o de más importancia que él, sus parejas han elegido sacarlo de su vida, lo que ha provocado que, si bien es una persona social y amigable, es difícil abrirse emocionalmente y ser vulnerable, la única excepción a esto son sus mejores amigos Hoppy y Kickin.
Su primera relación fue con Bubba Bubaphant, un elefante de una buena familia el cual a sus trece años le dio tutoría, ya que tenía problemas para prestar atención; su relación duro poco menos de cinco meses, pero Bubba decidió terminarla por que debía aspirar a la perfección, Dogday siendo energético, sociable a un nivel francamente incomodo, y de poca atención, no era lo que se espera de una relación, al menos en palabras de su familia.
Simon Smoke fue ese respiro de aire fresco, a sus diecisiete años empezaron una relación tras hacerse amigos en varios equipos deportivos de la escuela, especialmente basketball, su relación era lo mejor que les pudo pasar al otro, y se tenían planeado pedir matrimonio a sus veintes, sin embargo, a Simon le dieron una beca deportiva que lo hacía elegir entre irse del país o quedarse a vivir la vida de ensueño con DD; al final la decisión fue dejar su relación justo donde la dejaron, si al momento de su regreso ambos siguen enamorados, tendrán eso que tanto anhelaron.
¡Y Catnap!, un prodigio con la música el cual sufre una ansiedad severa, que llega a este campus universitario por la promesa de tranquilidad de sus dos amigas Crafty y Bobby, y aunque nunca esperó hacer más amigos, definitivamente no esperó encontrarse con el chico más lindo y enamorarse de él.
Ahora los dos tiene que darse la oportunidad de abrirse emocionalmente y solo tal vez, vivir un romance real.
