hi! how can i learn about this metric for poetry? this is very new to me! thank you!

I'm sure there are a lot of resources out there and maybe others will have recs, but one book I recently read a little bit of that you might check out is Poetic meter and poetic form by Paul Fussell. It's pretty old, freely available on Internet Archive, and my impression is that it's nicely thorough and nuanced without assuming too much background knowledge.
