(Although this is not very easily observed because you would need a telescope and sun filter) today is Earth’s Aphelion, which means Earth is farthest from the sun. The one way to observe this is to get a telescope and sun filter, snap a photo of the sun on aphelion, and then do the same on the Perihelion. Finally, compare the two photos and you will see a slight difference.
