Back in 1976 when I was 7 years old that summer I started watching this show everyday with my grandmother Emily. When school began that September I always got home at exactly 3:05 and when I did I would just get into the house to my grandmother as the ambulance was going through the gates of the shows original opening theme. I remember how she use to call this "watching her story". So running home from school, then VCR taping, and now DVR I have never missed an episode of the longest running daytime drama on television. A few months after I began this journey in the winter of 1977 I remember a new character making her arrival and I was smitten. That character was Laura played by icon Genie Francis. She has been my favorite character since that time and still is today. To get to remember the times I spent with my grandmother, and how watching this show today brings me such joy and beautiful memories is something I hold dear to my heart. So, thank you Grandma for sharing this with me, introducing me to this amazing show. #GH #GenieFrancis #daytimedrama #icon #daytimehistory #beautifulmemories https://www.instagram.com/p/CeT4MC3rfa5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
