was thinking of dazai wanting to die and was thinking about how he has a reason to live and wrote this
Doubtless
Pairing: Reader x Dazai Osamu
Genre: Fluff
She can tell he's being overdramatic, but still. She wants to make sure there's not a doubt in his mind.
A/N: Yes, it's me...I'm still alive-
Masterlist
"Hey, could you pass me...are you still pouting?"
"I'm not pouting!" He exclaims, turning his head off to the side with a childish huff.
He was very much pouting.
"I said I was sorry!" Y/N retort, throwing her hands in the air form exasperation. "It wasn't even a big deal ,you're just being a baby about it."
Dazai shakes his head, stubbornly refusing to look at her. He felt betrayed, abandoned, cast off to the side like he was second rate.
"What was I supposed to do, just ignore him? That would have been rude." She tries to reason with him, sighing when he doesn't budge. Finding no other option left, she shuffles closer to him on the couch.
He doesn't move, although he does notice what she's doing.
"C'mon..." She says in her best gentle voice, the tone that would usually be accompanied by her best puppy dog eyes to get him to cave. Dazai usually found it very amusing and often humoured her.
Not this time. This time she'd gone too far.
She reaches out and grabs his hand, trailing her fingertips up his arm. The motion elicits a small shiver from Dazai which doesn't go unnoticed by Y/N, but steadfast in his decision to stay strong, he still doesn't move.
"You've been ignoring me for the past two hours, ever since we got home."
"You deserve it."
She rolls her eyes and leans onto his side, resting her head onto his shoulder.
"Fine." She shrugs. "Forgive me?"
Silence.
"Dazai?"
Wait. Hold on. Was he actually upset? She thought he was just being overdramatic as usual. Suddenly a little worried, she sits up and tries to look at catch a glimpse of his face. He's turned away from her, so she can't quite see.
"Hey...are you actually upset?"
When he doesn't respond, she lets go of his arm and leans around him to meet his gaze.
"I didn't think you'd take this much offense to me sitting next to Kunikida when the agency went out for dinner. I mean, he offered me the seat and you were late as usual. I didn't think it was a big deal and-"
She cuts herself off when she finally sees his face. She should've known better. Blinking in disbelief, she shakes her head and returns to her spot on the couch, crossing her arms.
"You're the worst." She mumbles at him, and now it's Dazai's turn to turn around with an amused smirk on his face. He seems to be holding in a laughs.
"No, by all mean, do go on, my love. I was enjoying your speech." He snickers. "A few 'I'm sorry Dazai!' and 'It'll never happen again!' would be nice-" He does a terrible imitation of her voice and laughs when she grabs the nearest couch pillow and throws it at him, feeling her face heat up.
"I actually thought you were mad at me! Not funny!" She exclaims, leaning back onto the couch. He was insufferable, he liked to tease her a little to much, he was the absolute worst, he-
He was a little too close to her now, she could feel it. She feels his arms wrap around her waist like they always do and she feels him rest his chin in the crook of her neck, nuzzling into her affectionately.
"Let me guess, it's my turn to beg for forgiveness?" He laughs.
"You better get started." She responds, letting him stay like that.
She wants to say she didn't let herself melt in his arms, but that would've been a lie.

Random drawing I made once, which turned into an Oc :)
Wandering alone through the nature of South America, Daza made it his personal quest to help those who are lost in the jungles and left their path to explore the depths of the rainforests.
Though this giant might looks threatening, most of the time being as tall as the trees surrounding him, he'd never hurt a fly. Even nurturing those back to health who need it. Be in an animal, a human, or something else entirely. Learning about their culture, language and legends while doing so.
He might not know how how to deal with modern technology, but he knows how to survive in the wilderness around the Amazon River like almost noone else.
Spending most of his time not only helping others, but also playing guitar and learning about his environment. And sometimes shrinking in size when feeling threatened, to hide from anyone who might hurt him.
You mentioned before something about a war between the gods. What did they fight about and what were the sides?
Thank you for the ask! And I’m sorry if I take so long to answer everyone classes are kicking my ass.
This is a rough version of what happened from the perspective of humanity.
It had been several years since the old gods had been defeated by the new gods led by Limas. Humanity was still on edge, waiting to see what this new reign would mean for their everyday lives and who would lead the new pantheon. The popular opinion was that Limas would take charge, and the people were hoping for that future. However, he had not been seen by humanity since the war. So now, the Goddess Aevanna and the God Charak were prepared to claim the position themselves.
Tensions were high as the gods started backing either Aevanna or Charak. Ataenzo, Ithiri, and Dismosa sided with Aevanna. While Vasoth, Nimar, and Rusen supported Charak. The minor gods kept neutral while Zatin continued to support Limas. Ultimately, tension could only remain civil for so long until the two sides snapped and the civil war began.
The two sides were relatively evenly matched; however, Charak’s began to gain the upper hand as he did nothing to minimize collateral damage. However, that approach would backfire as it became known that he would eradicate humanity if he won and would start over. Incensed, Zatin joined Aevanna along with Etis, Nozhen, and Tima. Remos and Daza remained neutral.
With additional numbers, Aevanna quickly overwhelmed Charak and Dismosa was about to kill the god of fire until she was struck by a bolt of lightning. Limas descended from the sky, not much is known about what was said after that as no mortal being present survived. Aevanna requited Remos in hopes he would tip the scales back in her favor, but in the end, Limas’s involvement forced a stalemate. Once the war had concluded, many humans named Limas the betrayer of humanity.
The gods resigned themselves to a council with no leader, and it has been that way ever since, but the gods resent each other more than ever.
