Totally cool if the answer is no, in my mind you’re writing the future best-selling novels that will pay for your retirement and nothing should interfere with that, but I wonder if I should lose all hope. oh hi hello friend! what timing you have on this! i was actually just rereading a couch collection entry last night. while i dont have anything im actively working on for it atm, there's definitely still the possibility for more in the future. i wouldn't like...wait with bated breath or anything. but whenever i do write another one it'll be a jolly little surprise for all of us lol.

Hello friend! I hope you are having a nice week :). I am re-reading W&H and I wondered, on Draco’s birthday, when he goes to Gringotts for meetings and afterwards says they didn’t go well, I assume they are about paying back his inheritance but, why didn’t the meetings go well? Does he have to see Lucius and Narcissa in those?

I know it’s a detail not so relevant to the plot, but I’d love to know how you played it out in your head 😊.

hellloooooo friend! my week is going pretty well; i hope yours is! so i do actually have an answer to this despite the fact that it wasn't especially relevant to the plot of w&h (and no, lucius and narcissa were not present). but our impatient, prideful bb really, really wanted to be done being in his parents debt. so i imagined that every year as something of a birthday gift to himself he reworked the terms of his payback plan based on how his shop was doing so that he could stop having anything to do with them as fast as possible. the bad news was basically that they'd not earned enough profits to really be able to accelerate the payback timeline that year. and trust, they looked at *every* conceivable option. hence why it took so long.

OMG the sexual tension. I keep waiting for one of them to jump on the other, but knowing your ability to play with our emotions/minds I’ll predict two more chapters of sexual tension crescendo until we/they cannot stand it anymore 😎. I think Draco will start spilling soulmates info in an effort to delay the hot, hot sex that’s gonna happen anyway. Poor Hermione waking up to an empty cot... but the loyalties line was worth it. Thanks for the update! Awesome chapter 🙂. Wishing you a lovely weekend and waiting eagerly for the next chapter 😀.

Wooow. Just wow. That was beautifully wrapped up. Both in style and content. I know some people are sad that Hermione forgot all of this, my unpopular opinion: B&E is not an account of the memories Hermione lost, it’s an account of how they got to a point where they were able to work through it <3. And the last chapters show them at that point over and over again. There’s SO much intimacy, in all the possible ways <3. Will we now know what the three numbers in the chapters mean? :).

Seriously, wow. Please never stop writing and thank you for the emotional rollercoaster. This is my favourite fic of all times!! I’ll be waiting for your original work, I have my money ready to throw it your way :). Happy holidays!

oh thank you so much! and i don't think that's an unpopular opinion at all! that’s more how I approached writing it! i wanted to build a relationship that could withstand the events of w&h...that we got to know what hermione forgot is only incidental, really.

as for the numbers, they’re just coordinates lol. think of them as three separate columns for each time draco uses the turner to try and fix things. the 000 in each column is when he uses it in each timeline and the other numbers are potential destinations that line up with the chapters when the events he wants to impact happened the first time. the destinations he actually chooses are highlighted below. the 000, 000, 000 is mostly a metaphorical reset, symbolic of timelines moving forward when he accepts that he can’t change anything/undos ever having used it in the first place.

Hello! I’m re-reading B&E, Draco and Hermione have just spent Hermione’s first birthday as a couple and went back to the Italian restaurant. I was wondering, is the purple dress she was wearing the same purple dress she transfigured for her wedding? I know it’s an insignificant detail but I really wanted the wedding dress to have been the blue dress from W&H. Maybe it’s still a dress from a meaningful occasion? I hope everything is going smoothly with the 2021 writing goals :D.

i did not intend for the dress she transfigured for the wedding to be the same one from that date. i very intentionally wanted it to just be *a dress*. i had considered as I was writing whether or not I wanted it to be the blue dress from w&h (and the engagement in b&e), but as I thought through the implications it would have for w&h, I didn’t like what it did to the disaster dinner scene. if it had been the blue dress that she transfigured for the wedding, that would mean that draco let her go to that dinner in her wedding dress...and considering the context imbalance they were already navigating, that just felt like too much, too far. a dress she wore during the dinner when they got engaged is one thing, the dress she actually married him in is another. and i really don't think Hermione would have appreciated unknowingly showing up at a dinner (with a man she still didn’t know if she could really trust) wearing her wedding dress. 

i like to think that during the events of w&h, the purple dress she transfigured sat lost somewhere in the closet. perhaps sometime between 2007 and 2012 she pulls it out to wear to something and draco just smiles, kisses her without warning, and says, “you married me wearing that.”

It’s officially my favourite line in the whole series. Wow, this chapter was intense. I had to take little breaks to take it all in. You make me feel things!!!

I will be spending Christmas 9000 kms away from my family because of covid. I know it’s not the end of the world and next year we’ll be laughing about this. However, I want to let you know that having something to look forward to, every night this week, has a big impact on my holiday experience. Thank youuu!!! By now, I even have a small update-night ritual involving tea and cozy blankets. It reminds me of when I was a kid and would wait for my favourite show to start. So thank you, thank you, thank you. They might seem like words on a screen to the untrained eye, but be sure that you have an impact on real people’s lives on these uncertain times :) (at least mine, I don’t think I’m the only weirdo.... right? RIGHT?)

oh friend. this made me all teary eyed. i feel so honored to bring someone a little bit of joy this time of year. it’s a strange holiday season to be sure and I also won’t be traveling to visit family this year. so posting this story is very much a comfort for me, too. <3 <3

Theory time! My favourite :D.

My theory for the chapter titles: they are a timeline of sorts. In negative because they are a countdown to the timeline where W&H happens. If Draco keeps messing with time I expect the next chapter title to be 0.000, 0.000, 0.000 and remain so until the W&H timeline finally appears. Then increase in positive numbers by 0.083 because of the turns needed per month in the time turner.

And I’ll add my theory on Blaise: he’s not a seer, the time turner does not erase his memory as it does with everyone else and he remembers every timeline that has ever happened.

After a year in therapy dealing with daddy issues, I find b&e extremely cathartic. I want to create a support group with Draco where we can talk about how we’ll never be good enough for our dads and that’s ok. Also, I know I’ll cry when he finally stands up for himself. Forgive me if it’s a very personal topic but, how are you able to describe the feeling of longing and inadequacy so perfectly? Is it something you’ve also overcome?

hi there! i’m so glad to hear that this story can be cathartic for you- it sure has been for me! as for how I describe longing and inadequacy? i mean, I certainly have my own complicated family stuff to draw from (my version of lucius is not not inspired in part by my own father), but I also spend a lot of time thinking about how how things feel. just, all the things. all the scenarios. all the responses. constantly building myself a little catalogue.
