I don't know what to do with myself now that I finished fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood...I think I need more...im abt to go straight into the manga....like I'm so empty...and it was such a deeply well written story.
The boys always stay true to their goals, but theyre not willing to compromise on their morals. Yea they want their bodies back, and will do almost anything to get it back, but they will not use other ppl bc its their own burden they have to solve themselves.
And I like how the story portrays how strong the bond btw the brothers is. They really care abt each other, but they are still brothers and will have their little fights lol.
ALSO one of my fav parts is how the adults are also being held accountable for their actions during the war. And they are the only ones that kill indiscriminately, bc they already passed the point of innocence once they killed one person. So I find the fact that the Elric brothers never kill anyone very impactful bc at the end of the day, they're just kids that made a big mistake and are trying to see a better tomorrow not just for themselves, but for everyone they care abt.
Like the story never let's you forget that Ed and Al are just two boys who are trying to attone for what they did, but that doesn't make the story go easy on them. They don't win every battle, they don't just know everything, but they will try their hardest and will try to find the answers. I like watching them work and struggle all the way to the final. It made them such endearing and inspiring characters and it was great watching them work so hard to finally get their bodies back at the end.
Def worth the watch, and hell even a rewatch for me at this point. But I literally just finished the last ep so I'm going to take it easy before I dive right back in...hence the consideration for reading the manga 😅
