It's dangerous beyond belief, being here, held in a roaring Oozaru's fist, but it's GOKU. She has to try. Chi-Chi reaches out and strokes the leathery skin of his jaw, imagining the many times she's touched Goku's soft, occasionally stubbled cheek. "It's still you, Goku," she murmurs, pleading, searching, knowing her husband is still there somewhere inside the great beast. She strokes his jaw again and again. "You'll always be you. Come back to me."
Lost to his bestial rage, Goku had grabbed Chi-Chi out of a sense of familiarity, a faint yearning to hold someone close who he felt a great deal of affection for, and out of a desire to protect her from the rampage he brought down on the mountain side. Trees and stone alike crumbled beneath his temper, and yet he seemed to have enough sense to stay clear of their home and to not crush his wife within his grasp.
There was too much to process, so much adrenaline and energy that he couldn’t contain, and it all had to all had to go somewhere. It left so little room for Goku and each passing moment the Oozaru took over more and more.
Until he felt her touch. A whisper of words followed, calling to him, calming him. Cradled by her care, the great beast’s rampage halted, leaving him to stare, unfocused, into the distance. Slowly, his palm fell open, allowing her to move about freely within its confines. He titled his head and his red eyes focused in on her. There was still so little of Goku there, but he was there.
