I wonder? (soul mate au) connor/female reader preview?
she sits there, ideally twirling the stem between her fingers, enjoying the sensation and distraction of the delicate bloom. she takes in the smell of spring, the wounderous difference in the way each flower around he smell. around her she listens to the bustling city, and the fragmented conversations of passersby. one conversation catches her attention and she tilts her head slightly to listen better, to the playful bickering of a nearby couple. "your lucky I love you, your really a brat sometimes." the girl groans
the boy only laughs, "I wouldn't be a proper soul mate if I didn't give you a run for your money luv"
their voices fade as they walk further away, and she is left alone, with only the flowers and her thoughts. her hand hovers over her own wrist, where her own tattoo lay neatly scrawled.
"will I ever be able to find you, I wonder?" she whispers to herself before she heaving a heavy sigh. she stands deciding it was time she head home. she turns to walk down the familiar park path when she hears a man shouting, "SUMO NO, COME BACK!"
she turns in the direction of the commotion only to have the wind knocked out of her lungs as she collided with the hard ground beneath her. before she could even think of anger she found herself laughing at the wet tounge affecinatly kissing her face and the fluffy weight keeping her down.
she could hear the man's voice again "I'm so sorry I don't know what got into him, he just took off, I'm so sorry are you alright? the weight lifted off her chest a was replace by gentle hands on her shoulders," here let me help you" he offered apologetically, his hand encompassing hers, as he helped her to her feet he spoke softly, "my names Connor, are you okay....?
she stood and turned towards him, smiling "Connor... what a nice name, I'm fine thank you my name is (y/n), nice to meet you."
she extended her hand in the direction she had heard his voice, smiling brightly, eyes closed, head tilted slightly to the side.
she felt him take her hand and she felt the pause, she wondered if he was looking at her tattoo, or at her. it was then she felt the soft change she had become so used to as relazation washed over him.
he spoke softly, gently "you're blind" it was a statment not a question.
she nodded simply in response "and you are an android".
she almost laughs at how obvious his surprise is, before he speaks, "but how, did you know?"
she smiles and turns his hand over in her own laying her other hand in his upturned palm "you're temperature, androids are always slightly cooler than humans."
