HIMluv (actually) plays piano
Okay, so I've officially had access to my work's Steinway for like... a week now? I've managed to play I think three separate times, each for only 15 minutes while I'm on break. So, now that I'm not fucking up because the sound quality keeps startling me, I can finally share some recordings! (please note, these are recorded on the basic bitch voice recorder app on my phone and I am completely self taught - I'm just having fun here, folks, and hopefully sharing some joy!)

This is a little rework of the Lost Elf theme I've been playing for years now, back when I truly believed there'd be no happy ending for Solavellan. Maybe I'll rework it again in the future...
Oh my goodness I haven't played this song in FOREVER but it just sounds so good on the steinway I can't help myself.
So, back when Hozier's Wasteland Baby! first came out, I was fucking OBsessed with Shrike, but there weren't any piano tutorials available on youtube yet (my ability to read sheet music is limited). So.... I cheated and pulled guitar chords off of a tab site, and figured out the chords for piano and basically wrote out the most buckwild notation for myself. It's been YEARS since I've played this, but, again. It just sounds so pretty, even just goofing around like this.
So, now my new goal is to start relearning/remembering a lot of the songs I used to know so I can play them on the steinway haha.
