Chapter 25: Epilogue (Final Chapter)
Connor lives through the aftermath of CyberLife's Infiltration.
Warnings: light anxiety, fluff
Excerpt:
“So you’re telling me,” North half yelled, hands glowing ever so slightly with her power - it seemed hard for her to focus on keeping it so much on the down-low as not to burn his skin, “that this idiot,” she shook Connor’s arm that she was warming up, “decided to take on the most fearsome trainer of CyberLife?”
“Yep.” Hank replied, laps full of his son, fast asleep but keeping a death grip on his father’s clothes. Not that the human had any intention of letting go, now that he was done carrying the full-grown power user back to where all of his kind were. As soon as someone could help carry Connor, Cole replaced him in his arms.
Not that Connor knew, as he passed out somewhere between being carried by Hank and joining the other deviants.
He had awakened to North trying her best to contain her power to a minimum just so she could raise back his body heat at a normal temperature, and Simon, on the other side, taking care of the brunt of his injuries.

Chapter 18: The Step Back
Connor gets to work again.
Warning: panic attack, anxiety
Excerpt:
Under Hank’s guidance and activities he deemed relaxing, Connor felt like he was completely himself again after half the week.
It was still incredibly shocking to him to see how fast he had recovered, compared to the usual time he took at CyberLife. He wasn’t excluding the human food from his theories, but the most likely one was that Hank didn’t keep on pushing him to do things when he physically had a hard time doing so.
It still had been incredibly hard to stay still once he felt energized and rested however. Thankfully, Hank ended up agreeing on them going for walks with Sumo twice a day, just so he could let go of the energy in his legs.
During one of those walks, Connor got the chance to try ice cream, and it had been a very cold but enjoyable experience.

Chapter 12: The Bridge
Hank confronts Connor regarding what happened at the Eden Club.
Warnings: panic and anxiety
Excerpt:
He wasn't sure what kind of place Hank would bring him to, but a playground had been unexpected, to say the least.
Snow was starting to cover most of the area, giving the place an eerie feeling. Yet, Hank had marched through it, gaze on the ground and three beers in his hands - one of which was already half-drank -, and heavily sat down on a bench that faced the city.
Connor followed after him, making sure he wasn't too close. The last thing he wanted was to anger the man because of his presence.
He approached the bench and a shiver went down his spine when a snowflake landed on the back of his neck, and he rose his shoulders, trying to bury the touched skin with his clothes. He was very thankful Hank had landed him a warm jacket before they had gone out.

Chapter 10: The Murders
Connor and Hank arrive at the Eden Club for their investigation.
Warnings: mention of predatory behaviour, predatorial train of thought
Excerpt:
The Eden Club’s bright red neon lights were buzzing above the building as they entered. A few signs advertised the next big show that they would give, and as they walked down the corridor that led to the entrance, different posters of power users mid-routine were laid out to embellish the place’s prestige.
Connor only activated his powers at the very last minute, knowing that he would have to be careful with it. Once this case was over, he probably would be exhausted due to the use of his psychometry and the toll it took on his body.
Distantly, quietly, he hoped he wouldn’t have to run around too much. Not when his muscles felt this sore from overuse, even if he knew it was part of the job and his life, as a power user.
