Chase needed a name, identity and business cards for his neighborhood renovation business.
I chose the typical yellow tape measure as the concept behind this whole design idea.
For the naming, I thought his first name was the stand out for him around his own neighborhood, so I stuck to Chase only. For the what he was going to do in each home, I chose renovation because it is a newer word for that kind of work, plus that word sounds better than remodel because of all the historical preservation rules that any fixer upper has to follow in the New Orleans area.
Aunty Steph needed a business card to hand out to coworkers, student’s parents, friends and family to easily be able to get a hold of her while she was still teaching. I used the old school green chalk board as my concept for the old business card design.
Once she retired, it was time for a new business card to hand out to teacher friends, friends, family, and to place in business card giveaway jars :) She was mainly a math teacher in their open concept school format so the first idea for the retired card included math problems. I
In the end, she wanted calmness and she loved this dolphin photo I took in Kauai. So I put this final business card together for her exactly how she liked it.
Now-a-days it is very inexpensive and quick to take pdf files to Staples or Office Depot in 8up format and have them print out beautiful cards on whatever stock you hand to them. These were one sided cards. So this is exactly what I did. Then I cut the cards out by hand with my exacto knife and sent them off her.
