You take a deep breath.
You've been preparing for this tournament for what feels like a lifetime. Endless sparring. Harsh training. Bruises that never quite healed before the next fight. But all of it has led you here - to this moment.
You're ready.
You glance to your side, locking eyes with your partner. Her expression mirrors yours, every nerve burning with battle-readiness. You've fought side by side for years. She's your match in every way, and today, you're more than that.
Today, you're going to fight as one.
Suddenly, a blinding light spills over your faces. The massive gates to the arena grind open with mechanical weight, revealing the World of Void in all its surreal, unsettling glory.
You squint as you step out into the strange, endless nothingness of the tournament stage. The other fighters are already moving, chaos barely contained. But you and your partner? You walk with purpose. Precision.
Your partner is just behind you, her energy pulsing in rhythm with your own. You're perfectly in sync.
Ahead, you spot a group of powerful fighters approaching. The energy radiating off them is intense, aggressive, and unmistakably smug. "Typical," you mutter under your breath. Male warriors always wore their pride like amor. But you've made a habit of tearing that pride down.
You come to a stop at the center of the ring, your opponents halting just opposite. The air is heavy with tension. You and your partner lock eyes. She gives you a small nod.
"Fusion... !!" You both cry out.
In perfect sync, you both move into a seamless dance, your energy all flowing into it, together.
And with a flash, you're no longer two, but one single, deadly force.
You open your eyes, a confidence smirk on your face. You can feel the raw power coursing, pulsing in your veins. You feel ready, acting as a whole entity.
Just as you're ready to lunge into battle, something makes you pause. A fast, brilliant energy is approaching you rapidly. For some reason, the part that throws you off is how.. familiar the energy feels.
Across the arena, another fusion descends like a meteor, landing with ease and flair.
He stands up tall, his arms crossed. His aura flares hues of gold and royal blue.
"Gogeta." A firm, smug voice calls out.
He's looking straight at you.
You face him, instinctually drawn to the overwhelming pressure of his ki. It hits you like a divine wave, volatile, yet balanced. Controlled.
You examine your foe. Golden hair, piercing blue eyes. And.. Super Saiyan Blue energy?
You immediately recognize these signatures from stories you've heard during your travels. The people behind this fusion..
Goku. Vegeta. You think to yourself, your eyes narrowing slightly, body tensing.
"Gogeta.." You mutter as the fusion warrior strides across the arena towards you, confident, as if he owns the entire place.
He stops a few feet off. He looks you up and down with a hint of arrogance and... interest?
"Didn't think I'd run into another fusion here," He says, his voice low, but confident. "You look... strong."
You smirk. "You don't even know what I can do yet."
The corners of his mouth nearly curl into a smirk. His eyes harden. "Guess I'm about to find out."
You both fly at each other, powers colliding in the air. You clash in the center of the arena. Fists meet fists. Literal and figurative sparks seem to fly as your energy lashes out at his, like a wildfire consuming all beneath it.
His strikes are deliberate, calculated, and powerful. You're able to keep up, matching him blow for blow.
You notice after a while, he grins - actually grins - every time you land a hit. And after a while, you find yourself grinning when he lands a hit.
Somehow, the world fades away around you two, leaving nothing but your fusions dancing against one another.
There's no stands, no screaming. Just you and him, burning bright in a place that was never meant to hold this kind of electricity.
Finally, you both hit a lull. You're both panting, bruised, and sweaty, standing a few feet apart. The floor beneath you is cracked from the intensity of your battle.
It's Gogeta who breaks the silence.
"You fight like you've got something to prove." He says, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.
You smile in response. "I do. I'm not just fighting for my universe, I'm fighting for the chance to feel.. alive."
For a moment, he stares at you quietly.
"Funny. Me too."
And with those three words, something shifts. Not in the arena, but between the two of you.
You both know that you don't have much time. After all, fusions are temporary, they always are.
But that doesn't mean that this moment, and what you both feel right now, isn't real.
"When we unfuse.." You trail off, not wanting to say the words.
"...we might not even remember any of this." Gogeta finishes for you, voice quiet. You nod.
His expression almost.. softens, just a bit.
"So, let's make it count."
And you do.
You don't know who moves first. One second, you're both just standing there. Two warriors who had been strangers only moments ago. The next, you're inches apart, your energy coiling around each other like gravity had decided to pull you in.
Gogeta's hand brushes a strand of hair from your face, his touch surprisingly gentle for someone made of such explosive force. "You feel it too, don't you?" He asks.
You nod, your heart pounding. "Yeah. Like.. we were meant to meet here."
He chuckles softly. "That's the thing about fusion.. sometimes, it brings out the best, or deepest parts of who we are."
His fingers linger along your jawline for just a moment too long. Your breath catches in your throat. Even though the world is still burning and crackling around you, it suddenly still feels so far away.
Then, his voice drops lower, a quiet intensity behind his words.
"We're not promised more than this moment."
"No," you respond, your eyes meeting his, "but we can own this moment."
Your lips crash against his, breath hot and hungry. The taste of battle still lingers on both of your tongues. It only fuels the fire burning between the two of you.
Your fingers tangle into his wild hair, tugging as is grip on your waist tightens. He groans low in his throat, something primal, and in a blink, you're gone from the center of the arena, and in the backrooms where you began, empty now.
He lifts you in the air, grabbing you by the ass and slamming your back against the cool concrete wall. You tongues meet, twirling between each other's mouths needily.
One of his hands comes up to cup your cheek, his lips leaving yours and trailing down your neck before you feel sharp nips. You gasp softly, closing your eyes and tilting your head back to give him more access.
He tears your shirt off, taking a breast in his mouth, sucking and swirling his tongue around. You tug his hair softly, moaning with pleasure.
He rips your pants off. You can feel his hardness through his own pants for a moment, and then, before you know it, he's removed his pants too.
His length strokes your folds gently, making you wiggle your hips with excitement and anticipation.
He chuckles. "Eager, are we?"
You pout. "Don't tease me!"
He chuckles again, before finally granting you your wish. You feel him push inside of you, slowly at first, then all the way.
Your nails claw at his back, head tossed back as you moan out in pleasure. He begins to thrust, picking up the pace gradually, until he's finally pounding you relentlessly.
Skin slaps against skin as you both dance this new dance, exploring each other's bodies, committing every detail to memory.
He spins you to your hands and knees, taking you from behind now, a hand tangling in your hair. He leans down, his chest pressed against your back as he thrusts, his breath tickling your ear. He plants gentle kisses on the back of your neck as he continues to thrust down below.
He reaches a hand around your front side, his fingers working expertly to push you close to your edge, too. You curse under your breath, biting your lip at the sensations he's giving you.
His movements get more needy and reckless as he reaches his climax, and you can feel yourself tightening around him as you reach yours. You both finish, together, perfectly in sync.
Perfectly in sync.

The arena is quiet now, eerily so. The air still glows faintly from the storm you unleashed, a reminder of everything that just burned between you two. You both remain there, inches apart, caught in the silence that follows the chaos.
Gogeta's gaze meets yours. For once, the cocky grin is gone. What remains is something rawer, still steady, yet uncertain. His voice is low, and a little raspy.
"Didn't think a fight could... lead to that."
You smirk softly. "Guess that's what happens when two fusions collide."
He chuckles under his breath, the sound surprisingly gentle. "Yeah. Guess so."
For a moment, neither of you moves. The glow around him flickers, the telltale sign that time is running short. You both know what comes next.
You lift a hand, fingers tracing the edge of his jaw. "We don't have long."
Gogeta closes his eyes briefly, leaning into your touch. "Then I'm not wasting what's left."
You can feel the energy inside of you unraveling, the slow pull as the fusion begins to come apart. But even as the light starts to overtake you both, his hand finds yours. His fingers tighten, refusing to let go until the very end.
"Maybe the parts of us that remember will find each other again." He says quietly.
Your throat tightens. "I hope they do."
The light grows brighter, brilliant, and blinding. When it fades, two figures stand apart where there was once one. Goku blinks, confused, rubbing the back of his neck. Vegeta scowls, glancing around the shattered arena.
On the opposite side, you and your partner have separated as well, breathing hard, disoriented. Neither of you knows exactly what happened in that moment before the light, but you both have a strange feeling, like something is... missing.
A strange ache lingers, deep and wordless. You glance up across the clearing and lock eyes with Goku. Or maybe it was Vegeta's gaze that caught your own. It doesn't matter. For just an instant, there's a flicker of recognition, something that transcends memory or reason.
Then, just like that, the world around you moves again. The tournament continues. The battle resumes.
But somewhere beneath the roar of ki and the clash of warriors, something unspoken hums quietly.
A pulse of energy. A memory.
Two hearts that once beat perfectly in sync... or is it four?
