violet :   how does your muse respond to betrayal ?

Trust with Cell is incredibly difficult to earn, possibly obtained within an arms length but never completely. If your bond with him is so ‘Perfect’ that he can drop his guard fully and place faith in you, he has given you everything at his own personal and emotional risk. Should you go behind his back after reaching this point, the backlash would be catastrophic. If he hasn’t focused on the idea of killing you, he’s already working on destroying everything you hold dear until there is nothing left to lose. All that would be left is you and Cell, and he’ll choose how to handle you from that point on (be it outright killing or extreme manipulation).

tulip :   how does your muse view people in general ?  

It’s... Complicated. On one hand, he was raised to view them as fodder and one day make a choice to rule them or destroy them as he pleases. The other, a very curious side of Cyto that wishes to know more about humans, finding their whole world to be so interesting. After all, his mother is a human too! It’s more a case of Nature vs Nurture and how he decides to investigate those inquisitive ideas of humanity. It’s a 50/50 shot, generally he doesn’t mind them, but wants to know more.

rose :   how much does your muse value other people ?   do they wish to have many friends ,   lovers ,   and/or associates ?   are they an easy person to love ?

With her experiences, she keeps others below a certain threshold before she can slowly allow them to get close. Being polite is one thing, but making a friend is a lot harder to pull off than expected. The closest she’s ever been with anyone is her own spouse, finding him and her son to be the only people she reasonably needs in her life. If you can butter Honeydew up enough to establish an actual friendship, you’re in good company! Course, you probably shouldn’t question her life choices with Cell, but if you can deal with her situation-- then she’ll be happy to have a new face to bond with.

Do you have a favorite muse to write?

three more favorites, altho the last i’ve barely gotten the chance to write for rip a fantasy, KH-inspired verse on my russia blog fjkfd;a basically bby russia but if he had illusory abilities and lived in a magic but decrepit mansion with a bunch of manipulative faceless ghosts he calls his mothers which now that i’m saying it aloud like that w o w what was i thinking when i created that................ 6_6

also majora is always one of my favorites to write, but again somewhat rarely get to thinking emoji i’d love to explore his child verse or. well. let’s just say Any of his verses, particularly the destroyer one lmao

and my tendency to gravitate to child muses comes in again lmao chibiromano and bby roh have a lot in common tho, and i’ve still got a WIP essay in the drafts somewhere comparing and contrasting the two

Is there a muse that’s frustrating to write for? Why?

i found myself thinking of these two bc both of them have very easy voices, i feel, for me to get into and write, but the Motivation just isn’t there and it’s the most frustrating thing rip

Is there a muse you wish you were able to write but can’t? Why?

............china is my favorite hetalia character and sometimes i get the Strongest musing for him but  g o d  am i intimidated by taking on a character with that much history. also i’ve been having the Hardest time lately keeping hetalia and the real world Separate, so that also makes me. uh. Hesitant

3. Is your muse good at kissing? Are they experienced?

Mortem is well-versed with kissing. She has much experience with the many forms of kissing. A platonic smooch to a heated lover’s kiss. Kissing is something she enjoys doing, exploring and learning more about. She especially loves using her experience and knowledge on her partners.

5. Is your muse comfortable with public displays of affection?

Most definitely. She has a preference for privacy but, well, she has absolutely no shame in expressing her affection for anyone - at any time. Location matters little. The same applies to others regarding PDA, she doesn’t feel any which way on it. But that’s also fairly common among her people, witch gatherings often resulted in public sex. Everything else really is just normal at that point.

6. Does your muse steal clothing from their partner?

Yes. She gives it back but she will also enjoy wearing it for however long. If they aren’t living with her she will keep it until she seems them next. Wearing her partner’s clothing is a comfort and she also enjoys the reminder of their scent. During the winter she’s likely more guilty of this - layering up is a good excuse to steal a shirt.

14. Is your muse more submissive or dominant in a relationship?

She tends to be more dominant. The problem is, due to her nature, that even if she chooses to be more submissive it’s really just a choice she’s in control of. Her preference goes either way, especially since she caters to her partner’s preferences and needs. But at the end of the day, I’d still claim she’s on the dominant side because it’s difficult for her not to be in control in some way. Even when she’s hands off and being submissive, some part of her is still steering things. I don’t think she really has ever had the chance to be completely submissive. She likes a dominant partner who takes initiative. But she also is challenging by nature so I doubt she could be submissive entirely, which is why versatility is often where she hangs at. But Mortem’s history is usually her in control, dominating her partner(s) and taking the initiative. So her time spent as a submissive is much smaller.

24. Is your muse a top, a bottom, or a switch? Do they have a lean?

She’s a switch. There’s really no preference, though her streak probably makes her a top more if only due to how often she is the dominant one in a relationship. She knows what she wants and enjoys spoiling her partner(s), so she often finds herself in such a position. It’s absolutely lovely. Mortem does love being a bottom though. She likes being surrounded by her lover, having them close against her especially. There are plenty of times when she’s dominant but drags her partner on top instead. She excels at being a power bottom in that regard I guess, lmfao. As long as she can be a tangled mess with her partner, she’s happy.

I’ve spoken a lot about the breaking of a witch’s will and their nature, rendering them into a unfunctional mess. It is by far her greatest fear; to make a mistake she cannot fix, to regret her mistake and to undo her entire purpose because of a single moment of remorse for the choices she willingly made and must stand by.

But a fear that hasn’t been spoken about is tied up within that and is related to the disappearance of her mother. On Mortem’s little world, for a large portion of its history, the soul of a witch hailing from their precursor world nearly made their people extinct. As her knowledge grew as wars unfolded and the truth about how their world came into being, as well as her people being planted there came into light, Mortem realized that what was transpiring with witches far exceeded their barely stable dimension. And the very faction she was drawn to because of her purpose and nature were the ones responsible for a vast majority of her personal beef with the treatment of witches.

Yet she cannot act upon those feelings because any individual under the umbrella of this group is directly tied into a greater purpose that her own nature swings in favor of. And yet they are also the ones that stole her mother and many of her people away - they are responsible for the soul of a precursor witch going feral upon her own kind. They are the reason so many witches have died or are unheard from and why the elf who waged his war made two hundreds witches suddenly not exist in the blink of an eye. Friends of hers that she would not even see in the afterlife, friends of hers that she will only have memories of and never any proof they once were.

There is a fear within her because of all things that pulls her apart at the seams. That her nature supporting them may not be enough to accomplish a cosmic task. That she will never be able to avenge the precursor witch, whom she equally hates. That her mother possibly was relocated and died off world, far away from her loving daughter - that she may never see her again. That all her personal feelings disagreeing with this faction’s choices will never truly be expressed; she’ll never get the burning coal out of her stomach, she’ll never sink her teeth into the throats of these offenders regardless of completing the task or not. That they’ll stop her as easily as they have so many witches; though they tentatively work together currently she knows they would place her within a chamber of ice just as easily as choose to kill her if deemed necessary. That in doing so her purpose is cut short and all the things that matter to her - the potential she tries to preserve, life itself, her people; that all of it will so easily be stopped. She’s scared for her people. Her people that she loves beyond words.

They scare her in the only way she can be scared. They anger her, sadden her, give her hope and scare her all at once. Their cause is of good intentions, led by a mind she loves, of a purpose similar to her own against a monster even she could have never imagined existed. But her pull to them cannot quiet these thoughts, these feelings, these desires. Love and hate, rage and agony - desperation and hope. She’s scared she’ll never be able to sanely untangle herself from their web.

She’s scared because as long as they are necessary and serving the same purpose as she, she’ll never feel truly safe and secure.

how your muse responds to stress.

It depends entirely on the swing. Is she in her neutral lane? Flourishing good or batting for evil? The common response all three have is that she works well under stress and problem solving things in real time very swiftly. In her youth stress was thrilling because it challenged her and forced her to grow and become better. This stuck around with most average stresses as she grew older but... heavier things began occurring; from her world to beyond it the stress became greater.

The good thing is she has time on her side with her spell to work through things! That’s why in her neutral state she isn’t often bothered by stress.

When the pull of good is calling and she’s swinging for that team, the stress creates something more... mournful, in a way. She is veiled in the weight of the truth, the potential of life and while it often livens her up, it’s what she knows that keeps a somber the somber sheet draped over her.

When she is swinging for evil her stress is a tool she uses to forge a weapon. All the good tolerance and working under pressure makes for a nasty Mortem. Her reaction is very often displeasure at feeling stressed in this mode - because it’s very rare for her to get there. Her flavor of evil is to be so awful the other side is forced to balance her out, it’s change through destruction. If she is stressed by the other side, that’s thrilling and she wants it. Anything less is an irritation she will smite down. The things she finds amusing are slim, her focus is dedicated to being a monster so stress has no place to be getting in the way of her business - she’ll use it against whoever is causing it and feed it back tenfold.

Now the only exception to this is if her nature is violent shook. The stress of a witch’s nature potentially breaking is enough to stop them dead in their tracks. It can occur with Mortem when she is recounting things with her mother far too deeply and treading close to regret territory. Anything thoughts or feelings that goes against her nature is stressful as hell. It is distracting and she’s running in circles to solve it to continue her way forward. This can lead to Mortem not leaving her cabin for a long time, sleeping for days, etc. because it’s exhausting and in a lot of ways simulates depression on a grand scale. Her hermit mode becomes on to the highest degree. The added bonus is how much she hates this zone so the stress just goes in circles between her core self and her feelings until it finally gets settled. It’s a rough as heck time though.

Funny enough... Stealing yet another aspect of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, I’ve been planning on Honeydew having a unusual ability to see visions of the future and past events from different timelines. The dimensional ‘scream’ through dreams or a touch against something that holds significance to a important event. Because I have written her in a small number of AU’s, part of me wanted to have those universes loosely connected to one another to drive a point with ‘how’ she ended up with Cell. Perhaps it wasn’t just ‘pure chance’ they met up. Maybe through cosmic shenanigans, it was a predetermined fate they shared. Two souls that are permanently bound to one another, that even in death, they would find each other again in the next life. This idea is still being worked on (and may even be scrapped for the sake of keeping things simple), BUT it was largely inspired by Fighter Z and the soul-link with other characters. In that dark mental space you share with the characters, below their feet is nothing but rippling water (I personally like to think it’s a shallow ocean, hence the themes surrounding the sea). It’s possible that the Fighter Z verse was their ‘ground zero’ with one another as her lost soul found it’s way into his body (and eventually gained a physical form, though she could still leap from body to body if needed). A bond forged by trust and devotion through every battle they shared would tie their souls as one functional unit. They would eventually die together in a last stand fight against the Z-Warriors post 21′s defeat, and their last conscious wish was to ‘meet again’ so they’ll always be together. And so they did, numerous times. Because Honeydew had that prior ability to connect her soul into other bodies, I feel as if that power left permanent mark on her spirit? Maybe she still has access to that soul-link ability and doesn’t even know it???? Who knows.

It’s all kinda there in my brainmeats and I have no idea how or where to implement it WITHOUT her being an omnipotent cringe lord.

Alice in Wonderland - What does your muse often dream of? Do they have strange dreams? Pleasant ones? Nightmares?

While she often dreams about the mundane and things relating to current home life, she’ll have the occasional squence of memories related to personal events in Central City. The unending heartache revolving around her mother, confrontations with her classmates, the last argument with her father-- those feelings are hard to let go of. The wounds are still fresh in mind, a subconscious pain she harbors inside.

Aladdin - If your muse had 3 wishes, what would they wish for?

Assuming these wishes are not power limited (like the Dragonballs), then these wishes would be fairly easy to make? I haven’t placed too much thought into these but I’ll take some wild ass guesses about his desires.

ULTIMATE power. Self explanatory, though I feel he would do it in a way that would be gradual. Giving himself a challenge against those who oppose him, yet always have the upper hand to assert his Perfect dominance. An illusion to distract from potential boredom that could come from being left with no one to entertain him. He’d make the Gods themselves beg for mercy.

The ability to strike utter terror in the hearts of even the most hardened warrior. What better way to satisfy that devilish desire to be feared in every respect? His presence should demand your silent prayers for mercy-- but it doesn’t matter. He isn’t going to bother listening.

As weird as it sounds, immortality: but not for himself (as he is effectively immortal already), but for Honeydew. At this point in their relationship, whether he wants to admit it to her or not, Cell cannot fathom living without his only true companion. A selfish desire to keep her bound to his side, perhaps, but he would not make that wish lightly. Heartbreak is an emotion he does not wish to ever know, let alone endure it. Chances are that he’d never open his heart like that again. One experience is enough, one he doesn’t intend to lose.
