It was a cold night. The wind howled and lightning struck. Inside, a small figure wandered in the house. A boy with dark hair and blue/green eyes slowly walked through the corridor, trying to find their parents room. Their footsteps only a made muffled noise against the hard wood flooring, barely making a sound. It was dark, the lights were turned off and he had no where to go. He was scared. Scared of the dark. Scared of the lightning. He was just. Scared. As he approached his parent’s room, he knocked before gently opening the door. Empty. Pristine sheets on soft mattresses, tall windows covered by large silk curtains. He slowly sat on the bed, staring at the television on his left. He decided to pick up the remote and turn the news on, only to be met with a harsh light, news reporter, showcasing what was.
“The Kristian’s reported dead. Two of Gotham’s elite ice skating champions and hearts of gold, now presumed deceased after their unusual disappearance on April 1st 2017. This has been confirmed only from recent rumours going around stating that different people in Gotham has seen their bodies in Gotham Harbour, but it has not been fully confirmed these rumours are true. But with no luck on finding them, and with blurred evidence of these rumours, it can only be assumed that the two are dead. This tragedy has been reported by their child, Bruce Kristian, when he…”
Bruce turned the TV off, staring at it with darkened eyes, sadness and grief an aching noise in his head. He swallows it all with rage and anger filling his mind, rapidly blinking in an attempt to rid of his teary eyes as he throws the remote and hides under the soft scented duvets. He clutches the sheets, curling into a fetal position as he claws at his chest, desperately sobbing and crying his eyes out. He hates it. He hates this. He just wants his parents. They aren’t here anymore.
Bruce slowly falls asleep, the effects of staying up and violently sobbing creeping up to him, and he lets go. His breathing evens, his tears dry, his grip relaxed. But sleep is not kind to him tonight. Sleep will no longer be kindly to this grieving son child and will not be for a while.
As Bruce sleeps, his mind wavers. It plays. It shows the truth.
I wonder around the stadium, looking for my parents, going to the back stage hall showcasing the many rooms for the athletes. The fire exit closes and I gently open it to see if they are outside.
“Fath-“ I pause, my words falling short as I see what is going on. My parents stand, following this guy from reception as he led him right where he wanted. He looks at my parents, a grin on his face, before it falters as he looks at me. He immediately pulls his gun out and shoots. I could only stand as I watch my parents die in front of me. I try to rush to them but I can’t move. I’m too dazed and scared. I did nothing. I did nothing as he dragged my parents away, their blood staining the concrete floor. After a couple minutes a staff member comes out to tap me on the shoulder, asking where my parents were and what I was doing until their words fall flat too. They see the blood then see me. They ask me what happened. I only reply that my parents are gone. They’ve gone missing and I can’t find them. Lies. You know what happened. Why didn’t you tell them? I just stood there before they leave and call the police. Hours of silence and useless questioning. They’re gone. Just gone.

Backstory:
Phineas and Rose Carter, has two sons, Finley and Maximus better known to their parents by Finny and Max.
They are now lived on by Finley. Who hates the name Finley thats the kid with the dead parents after all. Finn doesn't know them, never got the chance to. All Finn remembers is his moms soft smile, his dads tired eyes. And fighting with Max over everything. But what he also remembers is a snowy night and Max hogging the movie player.
What he doesn't remember is his dad a scientist for the company afterlife coming home afraid yelling to his wife "We have to leave now. I- I can't work for that company anymore. Not after what they did, what they plan on doing."
Finn doesn't remember the scared packing or the panic. He does remember being told earlier he couldn't stay up to see his dad, but dad was home now so that was cool! He was too young to understand his dad speeding wasn't a good idea. He did understand that it was fun to be in the car during the storm! Then the fighting started, bickering over who would choose the movie, his mom told him to let max he was younger and more upset. But Max didn't even find staying up past his bedtime cool how would he understand what movies were?
His dad was upset and yelled and soon the car was surrounded by loud yelling. So when the flash of lighting was so bright it filled the car, it stopped everyone, everything. Finny doesn't remember his parents and baby brother laying there, he was passed out after all. He doesn't remember the medics or the hospital. But he does remember and will always remember being told he was all alone. Being told hopefully they'll find him new parents, he didn't want new parents. He wanted his to apologize for fighting with max and let max choose the stupid movie. That moment on he bounced from home to home, he was bad luck, he had weird scars. He was alone. Till one foster family and he met a girl and her little sister and he wasn't so alone.
