I was looking through my screenshots folder and found these banners I made for a new theme! I doubt I’ll go through with the theme now, but here are modern Ellis and Elsie!

this technically counts as a spoiler but I think Elsie will have aged up in my next post about her anyway ahah

Nicholas, Jeanie, and Rosemary David.

Late 1900s, Brindleton Bay.

Though Nick and Jeanie look and behave old enough to be little Rosemary’s parents, they’re actually still very young themselves. You see, the poor David siblings were orphaned not too long ago and were left with a little sister under their care. If it hadn’t been for the help of kind aunt Prue from the neighbouring farm, who knows what would’ve become of the Davids.

I’m starting to feel like my townies are better developed than my main characters lmao. I’m having a blast with worldbuilding! Haven’t built much more than residential lots for now though, ahah. But at least all the characters are coming along nicely!

Someone extraordinary.

This was supposed to be a little scene with experimental framing, but I’m not too happy with how that turned out lol. So here’s the gif instead; a scene I’ve wanted to make for a long time, but never got around to.

For anyone (relatively) new to my decades challenge: Elsie (II) was named after Ellis’ sister who passed away during a measles epidemic. Though she isn’t mentioned a lot in the story, Elsie still plays a large part in Ellis’ life -- and the second Elsie has always been quite interested in her namesake, but is afraid she’ll pain her father if she asks him about her.

As of now, Ellis (II) is the only one who still remembers Elsie. Perhaps it’s about time he should tell his children more about her.
