Just in the last few weeks, other fandoms have claimed that Clexa does not matter anymore because Lexa and therefore Clexa is dead. Erica Cerra, who portrayed ALIE/Becca in S3 of The 100 denied both the BYG trope and the baiting. What that means is that we cannot be silent! Lexa still matters and will always matter. Our fight is far from over and @the100writers still owe us.
Lexa means so much to me, to you, to our fandom. We are not ‘the movement’ and have every right to miss Lexa and want her back alive and trend and tweet about her all day long - because Lexa matters to so many people personally, to the show. to the representation of queers and women on television. Yes, Lexa IS representation and without her ‘the movement’ would not be. It started in our Clexa fandom but the fandom is not defined by it, if you see what I mean. Fighting for Lexa means fighting for everything she stands for and everything she represents.
So on Thursday, tweet about how much #LexaMatters to you and why #LexaMatters to all of the above. Remind the writers and producers that they still need to own up to their mistakes and to respect Lexa and her legacy at all costs. We highly recommend tagging them because how else are they going to know you have something to say?! But it is up to you, of course.
Please share this message and join us on Twitter (or do your thing here) all day using #LexaMatters and speak up for Lexa, for Clexa, for yourself, for our fandom, for our community, your choice.
