Love a cthulian headed guy. He might see use as a Dwarven Mind-flayer or a Dwarf wizard warped by his eldritch magic in my DCCRPG game most likely the later.

A few years ago, I made a third-party adventure for Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG, called “Prison of the Mad Gods.” It’s a 0-level funnel. A group of villagers finds an interdimensional prison on top of a hill, which lets them travel to different planes. Here are some of the drawings I made for it—they contain spoilers, so don’t look through all of them if you want to play it.

DCC RPG is a lot of fun. I leaned into the gonzo weirdness of the game. Maybe I’ll do a follow-up some day. In the meantime, you can get this adventure on my website, or from Goodman Games!

Dragonmeet 2021

I think my days of properly blogging about cons are over (I've not done it since pre plague) but here are some photos anyway.

Fists were bumped, fives were high'd and some (consentual) hugging and close quarters seflies happened, though as usual I wish I'd taken more photos!

Mothership  RPG - I love this game and am really excited about the new edition.   Horror games haven't really been my thing up until this point so I feel like I'm 

still learning how to pace them and build tension, but I think it was a fun session.

DCC RPG - Back in my comfort zone in the afternoon.  Tomb of The Savage Kings was a ton of fun to run and for the first time in a while I ran my favourite game for a whole table of folk new to the system.  A combination of great roleplaying and good dice rolls gave us crits, fumbles, deity disapproval, luck and spellburn.  It was almost the perfect 'demo' game and a great way to close out my 'Road Crew' games this year.

Watch out he’s a sneaky rat.

This is my 3rd Chaos Dwarf from checkpoint miniatures. Sculpted by Mark Sims. I love that he’s sneakily drawing his second knife. I thought he looked like he was in WW1 fatigues so I did him in an army green. Rats traditionally have black eyes but that didn’t look very good so I went with white.

The photos have highlighted some mistakes around his belt but that should be an easy fix. I probably won’t post photos of the corrected miniature.
