—— Shouto stared at him, trying to realize what was wrong. Something WAS wrong, that was for sure, but still everything he could do — continue wondering or ask Midoriya himself. So, Shouto came closer that Deku could pay attention to him and tilted his head slightly.
“ Why do you look like you did something and now you feel guilty because of it? ”

❛ Oh hey I was looking for that… ❜ {{ maybe for mao? :3c }}
things said to or by my siblings || accepting!
Gloved hands are gingerly outstretched, a battered notebook held out to the boy who’d helped her out with her bunny just a few weeks prior. Life was full of weird little coincidences; Mao had experienced that simple truth firsthand when she had spotted the worn thing on a vacated table in the dining hall a while ago. After asking a faculty member for class 1-A’s location and schedule of the day, she had managed to track Midoriya down in the late afternoon when his classes had just finished ( her own had ended a little while prior, but she didn’t mind waiting a bit ).
“I haven’t looked inside, so don’t worry,” she reassures him quietly, a sheepish smile hiding behind the ever-present cloth covering the lower half of her face. The notebook wore his name on the front in big, hard-to-miss letters, so it hadn’t been necessary to breach his privacy and look at the contents. As much as other people seem to think she doesn’t, Mao places high value on things like personal space and privacy – she wants him to know he has nothing to be concerned about in her case.
Uncertainty is an ever-present knot in her chest, however – their last conversation happened long enough ago that it wouldn’t surprise her if he had heard rumors about her and her undesirable quirk in the meantime. If so, Mao won’t blame him if he doesn’t want more contact with her than absolutely necessary.
Well, in the likely event that her assumptions are proven right, she isn’t going to make that more difficult for him than it has to be – she’s used to the loner life at this point.
“… Anyway, have a nice day!” And with that rather generic phrase out of the way, she turns around in quite the hurry and begins to walk back down the hall in the direction from which she came.

—— “ I don’t—! ” Shouto didn’t want to agree that he let Endeavor determine his value, but suddenly he paused. He pursed his lips and frowned, looking down and trying to AVOID Deku’s gaze. It was hard to share his thoughts with someone, though Midoriya already knew TOO much about his family. Shouto told it himself. It wasn’t bad to share something he was worried about with his FRIEND, was it? Actually, Shouto didn’t have friends before to get if he was right.
“ I don’t... It’s just hard to avoid his INFLUENCE when you had to live under the same roof with him, you know. ”
dckvthehalls replied to your post: ❛ why are you up so late? ❜
