Hi! First of all, I am addicted to your blog! I've read through about 40 pages, and I was wondering what you know about requirements to be a cast member on something like the DCP? What I mean is, are there personality and look requirements for that too? Do you know what they look for in interviews?

As far as look requirements, They have a very long list of all the details expected for both Males and Females on the DCP website. Link to the page that talks about it is here! It’s just generally looking neat and professional! :)

As far as personality, you must be very friendly and outgoing and kind- it’s very important to Disney that you treat all guests at the park with the utmost respect and kindness no matter how they treat you!

Do people in the disney college program go work at disney and disney provides them housing? Or how does that work?

Disney does have housing for people in the DCP-but it’s not free. They take the rent directly out of your paycheck (and it’s quite inexpensive)!

I know two people personally who did DCP and they were friends with Cinderella (along with her step sisters) and Goofy!

Do you happen to know anyone who's a cp who has been a face character? I've never heard of anyone on program being one and I'm afraid they just don't give face character roles to cp kids.

I don’t know anyone personally, but I “know people who know people” (I have a friend (who works at disney as a dancer) who knows (but not well at all) someone who is part of the DCP and is a face character!).  

From what I understand, you have the same probability of become a face character through the college program as you do by auditioning and not being a part of the program. If you have the look, they’re going to cast you as a face character.

Obviously, there are only so many face character actors so I’m sure that being a face character out of the DCP is a rare thing, just as being cast as one by auditioning is because “the look” is so rare!

Do you pay tuition to your college while participating in DCP?

Only the fees for any classes, online or otherwise, that you are taking.

Can you have your name tag say what city you are from instead of what school?

Well all CP's have their schools on their name tags because they're there representing their school.  Once you go seasonal or part-time or anything else they put your city, I think.  Maybe if you ask they might put your city instead of your school.  It's worth a shot.
