Do you recall any favorite/least favorite moments from your programs?

I have a lot of favorite moments and even have a little journal where I wrote a bunch of them down. But I’d say my overall favorite moment was watching Wishes for the first time on my 21st birthday. We had just gotten our main gates so I went to EPCOT with a friend (because where else do you celebrate your 21st??) and then met up with my roommates at Magic Kingdom. We were towards the back of the hub and I had a moment where I just looked around at all of the families there on vacation and kids watching the fireworks in awe and got goosebumps. That was when it really hit me that I was going to be working at one of the most magical places on earth and full-filling one of my biggest dreams.As for least favorite moment, there were a lot of moments with upset guests or issues with roommates that put a damper on my day. But I’d say my least favorite moments were saying goodbye to all my friends, because you never know if you’ll see them again or when that will be. No matter how many times I go back and visit, it never gets easier.

I know you said you applied a few times before being accepted into the DCP. How far along did you get in the application process each time?

The first time I made it to the web-based interview and then was no longer in consideration (NLIC) directly after I finished the last question. 

Second time I submitted my application and got an email saying I was NLIC’d soon after. 

Third time I made it all the way to the phone interview and was accepted just over two weeks later for Main Entrance Ops.

Hi! I have a question about Entertainment. I'm Mouse height (4'11") but I'm worried that I may be a little too curvy/chubby for the role. Do you know anything about those costumes and how forgiving they may be for someone who's a little more well-endowed? Thanks!!

Hello! I worked with a lot of people that were Mouse/Duck height  and they were all of different body types. 

The costume can be a bit restricting in the chest area, because they do not give any of the mice or ducks chests, even the girls. So that may squish you down, but I would say a sports bra would help that not be too big of a problem. Otherwise the arms and legs are fabric that forms tightly to your body, whatever the size.

if i wanted to be a park greeter, would i say in my interview park greeter or main entrance ops when they ask what roles i want?

You would say main entrance ops, but I would put emphasis that you want to greet guests into the park!

Hey so I have a question about fur characters. I want to go to an audition but I'm a little nervous. I'm a size 16/18. Will they even consider me? Or is it smaller sizes only? I'm not ashamed of my weight but I really need an honest answer.

Unfortunately I’m not good with sizes, but I answered another question similar to this and there are performers of all different sizes. Some characters may be more strict, due to the way the costume needs to fit, but others have a bit more wiggle room (literally).

hi! i have a question about getting into the parks. so say that you haven't done traditions yet so you don't have a blue id, but you're an annual passholder. would you be able to get in the parks before traditions, or do you still have to wait?

Nope! If you have an annual pass, you just get into the parks with that!

I am so confused about how choosing roommates and and how you are assigned your housing and roommates could you explain it?(not that I am even close to this point)oh and also if you where ever in submission how long was it till you got out? im getting pretty nervous about it.

So for roommates you can do one of two options; choose your own or just go random. Later on once acceptances start rolling out people will post “roommate surveys” and from those you can meet and talk to people!Once you found roommates or random, you list your housing preferences in order from the one you want the most to the least. It’s only a preference so it’s not guaranteed you’ll end up there! Personally I got my 2nd choice but I know plenty of people who got their last pick!I was never in submission so I can’t really relate but I have noticed that the Fall 2017 applications are going a little differently with waves of people getting out of submission after like a week or so. I haven’t seen that happen in the pastSubmission isn’t the be all end all, people do get pulled and usually closer to the end of acceptances a few people will get pulled from submission then!I hope this was a little bit helpful!

Hello!! I just received the email to do the WBI and im so excited!! I do have a question about the situational questions. Would it be better to be more comforting (I.e. Comfort a kid after he gets hurt) or focusing on making someone smile (telling kid a joke so he forgets about being hurt) thanks!!

Honestly it is all based on your personality and, when the time comes, also sort of based on the situation and the child at hand. Sometimes comforting them works and other times telling a joke to distract them is the way to go. You just kind of have to read the situation and see what would be the best response. 

So my advice for the WBI (if a question comes up like this, though I don’t remember one) is to just be honest about what you think your skills are best set for. Do you have that more comforting nature or are you good at distracting children with a joke or story? That’s what you’ll answer.
