Update
Y’all I’ve been so busy and tired when I’m not busy I haven’t posted in so long and I’m really sorry! Basically since traditions I’ve had maybe three days off now, and all the other days I’ve been training. About three of those training days have just been basic information, like Welcome to Operations, Welcome to Food & Beverage and a Welcome to the Show (since I work at Hollywood Studios). Of those, Welcome to the Show was the most interesting; we got a tour and learned so many cool things about the park and I loved it. The other two days were kinda boring - but obviously was information we needed to know before we began working.
Now at my locations (Sunset/Dockside Complex) I’ve been training for five days now at each location (Rosie’s Kitchen, Anaheim Produce, Scoops, Rosie’s Front, and Fairfax). While we work we could be rotating between any location and job so we need to train at all of them before we can start. I’ve had a different training all five days and they have all been so helpful and informative about the location we were at. Plus, everyone else working is super friendly and helpful when your trainer isn’t nearby. So far I’ve really liked it. It’s been a lot of information so I’m definitely going to be asking questions for awhile, but I feel really good about who I work with. Plus the other CP’s I’ve been training with are super cool. The hours are kinda late and I’m usually pretty tired by the time I get home, but that’s work and I’m making money so I’m happy. It’s also so great to be apart of different families magical vacations and I’m living for it. It’s great to notice a pin and say something or give them a cupcake and make a magical moment.
A couple days ago I had a day off and it was the first day of the Food & Wine Festival! A couple of my roommates went to check it out & it was so cool! They have so many stands from countries around the world, and I can’t wait to try all the foods and drinks. So far I’ve been to Germany, Italy, Morocco, Paris, and the Caribbean Islands. It’s really awesome and I highly recommend it!!
I love this job, I love being here, I love Disney World, and I’m loving my life.
Today is my roommate’s birthday and we both have the day off so we’ll be going out and then our other roommate’s who work will join us later! I’ll share pictures later :)
