Story:
It had been so long since he’d had a humanoid body that Cosmo didn’t even remember what his name had been before, so long since he had willingly been formed into a weapon to help fight the dark forces of the world. Before he was a bring who inhabited the dimension opposite of The Shadowlands, a Land of Light. When they saw that humans were messing with their shadowy counterpart they made the decision to leave it be, he however did not think that was the right course of action.
He went to one of their elders and asked for help in finding a way to help the humans fight the darkness they were bringing into their world, he was told that the only way he would not be found out was the hide his form from humans. If he were to go to the humans world as himself he would likely be found out immediately before he could form a bond with a form of light that would stop him from being pulled back against his will.
When he used his power to fight against Eclipso he hadn’t been expecting him to be so powerful, the last time that he had fought him he hadn’t been touched by the creature until he’d been weakened by a few blast’s of light. Because of that his contact did something to him, it weakened the spell put on him all those years ago and caused him to revert to his original form. Once he regains his strength he becomes able to change back into his staff form, but he also retains the ability to go into his staff form.
