It's funny how there are some aspects of Darkest Dungeon 2 that I fully adapted to while I still struggle for others.
Most notably, the Duelist & Runaway case. Two new characters exploiting some of the new gameplay style.
Duelist ? Perfect for me. Stance character (I love playing Abomination too), DPS with Riposte (Highwayman is is my fave in DD for a reason), very mobile (I only play Grave robber once I can have her dive back and forth) and these CRITS (huge fan of marking and critting characters like the Bounty Hunter). A bit complex but her paths are different enough to mix things up. And she was in my team to face the final boss AND dealt the fatal blow.
Meanwhile, the Runaway ? I don't get her. I try pairing her up with burn-based characters like the Vestal or the Crusader, nope. I don't get her paths, her mechanics confuse me, she's basically useless in the Sprawl, the last run I did, I had no idea why sometimes she would deal 12 burn damage in one turn and then 4 in the other.
I wonder if I'm the only one feeling that way, or if I'm just missing something important to play her correctly. Anyone else had that issue ?
