DETENTION WATCH: RULE-BREAKERS CAUGHT » Aurors break-up non-sanctioned party

While the Valentine’s Date Auction was a success, the same can’t be quite said of the non-sanctioned party that went on after it. Much like the Pitch Party back in October, students who were in attendance have been caught red-handed. To break the party were the Aurors assigned to the school for protection against Death Eaters’ attacks.

The faculty wishes to remind all students that curfew is at nine o’clock, with no exceptions allowed. Any student who breaks the rules or whose conduct is considered unethical is eligible to be brought in for questioning, and the Headmaster reserves the right of using veritaserum on non-cooperative students. Rule-breakers should be aware of the new rules.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Adira asked, not entirely sober herself. “That drink is pretty strong.” That was terrible. She was straight straight whiskey.

"Hey, get down from there!” Lily exclaimed, “You could seriously hurt yourself.”

“Do you want me to mix you a drink?” Anna asked, small smile on her face. “I can make it taste like nothing’s there, if you like.” She didn’t like it that way, but she knew a lot of people did.

VALENTINE’S DATE AUCTION: A SUCCESS » Oread family matches bids total 

The Valentine’s Date Auction organized by Professor Somnolens has turned out a success. The auction has been able to gather a considerable amount of money that will be donated to the Pendle Hill Orphanage, and all thanks to everyone’s effort in this endeavour. The big winner of the evening is surely the spirit of solidarity.

Not only students’ contributions managed to raise 462 galleons, 14 sickles, and 28 knut for the cause, but the Oread family is donating an equal amount of money to the Orphanage. We can’t express how important this is for the children that the institution cares for. Its director thanks all students and the Oread family for their generosity.

In a classroom not too far from the Room of Requirement, Lily sat crosslegged on top of a desk. She and Charlus had agreed to both sneak away from the party at separate times so they could meet and she could give him his Valentine’s card in person. Although she really did want to make sure he got the card, it had mostly just been an excuse to see him. She could have left it with his present, but she hadn’t. It was Valentine’s Day and she wanted to spend time with him, even if it was just for a few moments.

The redhead glanced at her watch, nervous. It was getting later. People might notice she was missing soon. Maybe Charlus had been held up somehow. But she didn’t see how. Standing up from the desk, she began pacing slowly. Hopefully he’d get there soon. She really wanted to see him, it was as simple as that.
