did someone say pancake boat trip?
A wonderful thing happened on Tuesday. It was my first day of classes (of which I had three so it was a pretty long day), and the one thing that I was looking forward to was the Facebook event hosted by the international office: the pancake boat trip.
The boat in question is de pannenkoekenboot:
And the wonderful event was a free 3-hour cruise up the Nieuwe Maas, complete with two free drinks and an unlimited pancakes. There were three to choose from: plain, bacon and apple, and from there you could utilise an entire table of toppings to make your pancake even better. I’m almost embarrassed to say I only managed two, one sweet and one savoury, but when you fill a bacon pancake with a whole bunch of cheese, eggs and other meats, you get pretty full pretty quickly.
The views from the boat were excellent:

And when we thought the evening couldn’t get much better, we were informed that a ball-pit had been opened downstairs, and this is more or less how we ended the night before docking again.
It was really a great time, we all reverted back into little kids
