finally get to participate this bc i’m actually writing something for once! shocker, right?
enjoy this little exert from my upcoming fic featuring…mysterious circumstances 😈
Stepping into LAX on a Monday evening was no less chaotic than it ever is. Glancing over his shoulder Buck can see Maddie is holding Jee, saying goodbye to her daughter and Chim. That leaves him with Eddie.
“Hey” said what sounded like Eddie's voice, but he couldn't be sure because it was so gentle. Like how you would talk to a lost puppy.
“Look…” Eddie began, running his hands through his hair. “I’m not gonna ask how you are, or how you're feeling about this because I know you don't know the answer either”
“But just…if you need anything, anytime and god Buck I mean anytime, I’m here, okay? Call me at four in the fucking morning, I don’t care. Just don’t stay in your head alone, okay?”
And Buck…doesn’t know how to respond to that. A therapised Eddie’s words are ones Buck isn’t used to hearing yet. Especially when he's the subject of them. The two of them have definitely gotten closer after Eddie’s breakdown, something in the air shifted ever since Buck broke down that door. Literally. He feels, no, he hopes they’re moving towards something but for once in his life, he doesn't feel rushed. They’re both single, both not looking to start dating again. Buck hopes Eddie feels this way too, and that everything they've been through and built together will have been worth it. It already is worth it, but the feelings he’s been pushing back since he saw Eddie in that damn locker room are finally rising to the surface.
