The World of Tak (Part 2)
Hey guys!
I'm back again with the second part of The World of Tak series.
For this part, we're not gonna be looking at a tribe.
Instead, we'll be looking at the main draw of the world (and the Tak series as a whole): The Jujus.
In the TV series, The Jujus are essentially the spirits of this world.
Each with their own purpose, ala the spirits in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
But in the games, they were treated more like deities.
Or at least The Moon Juju was.
Well here in Nicktoon Heroes, The Jujus are essentially both.
Being revered by the tribes of the world and each serving some of sort of purpose.
Just like in the games and TV show, The Jujus reside in The Juju Realm, which has similar look to as if did in The Great Juju Challenge, where it bares a heavy resemblance to the mythical Mount Olympus.
As for the The Jujus themselves, in this series, they have a hierarchy.
Being ranked by their power and what purpose they serve to the world of Tak.
The Jujus are split into two classes.
The first class (and the one we'll be looking at today) are The Primordial Jujus.
They represent the primordial forces of the planet itself.
At the top of the Juju hierarchy are Living Juju, Dead Juju, and Time Juju.
Living Juju represents life, who has the power to create living beings, being the one who created the world. She's also revered as a symbol of not only creation, but also birth. Even appear to help out with human births.
She has the appearance for a very beautiful and fit woman, has long brown hair, and wears a light green peplos.
Living Juju would be heavily inspired by Gaia, the primordial Greek goddess of the Earth.
Now we come to Dead Juju, and you're most likely thinking of this guy, right?
Well, not exactly.
This is Dead Juju.
This was what Dead Juju was gonna originally be like.
A somewhat more somber figure clearly inspired by The Grim Reaper.
Funnily enough, this version did make it into a game.
Specifically with the Game Boy Advance version of Tak and the Power of Juju.
Dead Juju represents death, appearing when it's a living being's time to go. He also initiates funerals/burials and aids the souls of deceased to The Spirit World, where they're able to peacefully rest alongside their ancestors and fellow deceased.
As for Dead Juju we know.
Like what the TV show did, he's known as Party Juju.
Which just fits him much better.
Additionally, he and Dead Juju are brothers.
As a nod to former's original conception.
And lastly we come to Time Juju.
Time Juju represents time, and his purpose is to control the temporal flow. He also has the power to control time itself and travel anywhere within it.
His outfit would be drawn heavily from The Medes people of Iron Age Iran.
His appearance would feature him having wings and the head of a lion.
This would be a nod to Zurvan, the personification of time and space in Zurvanism, an ancient Persian religion.
He was often represented through a Leontocephaline, a deity with the body of a human, the head of a lion, wings, and a snake wrapped around his body.
As for their relationship with each other, the trio are siblings.
Right below them is their other sister and her husband: the aforementioned Moon Juju and Sun Juju.
Moon Juju represents The Moon, and her purpose is to govern the night sky and provide protection to travelers at night.
She also aids both Time and Living Juju in their jobs by contributing to the flow of time with the lunar cycle and ensuring fertility within pregnancy.
Moon Juju possesses the ability to manipulate moonlight to create illusions, glowing orbs, or cloaking barriers, as well as alter the very gravity around her.
Her appearance is largely the same as it was in the original game, though she wears a chiton now.
Sun Juju represents The Sun, and his purpose is to govern the day and sustain life on the planet.
He also aids his wife with the flow of time as well.
Sun Juju possesses the ability to channel solar energy inward for incredible physicality or onward in the form of powerful energy blasts, as well as craft it into various forms.
Sun Juju has gold skin, a muscular build, amber eyes, and long dirty blonde hair in the form of dreadlocks.
As for his outfit, he wears an orange kente cloth with a sun pattern scheme.
And lastly we come to Moon and Sun Juju's children.
The first two are returning faces from the games: the twins Flora and Fauna Juju, or Flora and Fauna as they prefer to be called.
Flora represents the plants and oversees the cycle of life, death, and rebirth in plant life.
Fauna is the same deal, but with animals.
Flora in particular also revered as the juju of forests and jungles.
Flora possesses the ability to manipulate and communicate with all plant life, as well utilize aspect of plant biology with her own body.
Fauna possesses the ability to communicate with animals, manipulate them, and transform into any animal alive.
As for their appearances.
They'll be looking considerably older.
With more mature builds and longer hair to boot.
As for their outfits.
They would both wear this outfit commonly seen on Celtic goddesses, particularly Brigid.
Flora's green and she still has her grass tiara from the original games.
Fauna's outfit is brown with ripped off sleeves, and she's covered with blue tattoos resembling animal footprints.
Next is their sister Baro-Mew Juju.
Baro-Mew Juju represents the atmosphere and the hydrosphere (along with overseeing them), and the very forces within them.
She's also revered as the juju of the ocean and lakes.
Baro-Mew Juju possesses the ability to manipulate the atmosphere and hydrosphere, the elements of wind, water and ice, and create all sorts of meteorological tempests like tsunamis, hurricanes, and blizzards.
As for her appearance, she has light blue skin with a shimmering look to resemble the ocean, an hourglass figure, long dark blue hair, and blue eyes.
As for her outfit, it would be drawn heavily from ancient Hawaiian hula attire.
And lastly, we have the siblings brother: Seismo Juju.
Seismo Juju represents the very earth itself and it's activity, and oversees it as well.
He's also revered as the juju of mountains and deserts.
Seismo Juju possesses the ability to manipulate the very earth beneath his feet, along with fire, sand, lava and all sorts of metals, and cause earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
As for his appearance, he had a lean and muscular build, tan skin, brown eyes, and spiky brown hair.
As for his outfit, it would resemble the outfits of ancient Chinese warriors.
Essentially he would kind look like a living terracotta statue.
Well that's all for now!
Let me know what you guys think about the new jujus.
