Not gonna lie it’s not a good look to take your freshly birthed daughters away from their young mother to some randoms to raise instead of you...
Over this shit 🖕🏾🖕🏾
I found out I’m the daughter of a Side Chick
Never thought I’d ever call my mother that, and I never will outside of this... But I tracked down my biological dad’s sister and she told me the whole story. She said she was friends with the girl my father was dating. My father was cheating on her after he found out she was pregnant... and 8 months later, his side chick - my mother - became pregnant as well. I am the product of a relationship that destroyed another woman. The heart break, the deceit... But to be clear, my mother was not aware. Both women were hurt. I am kind of glad though... The girlfriend finally left him, and my aunt says he had been beating her and abusing her financially, emotionally, and mentally for years. My mom finally left him because he did the same to her and she didn’t want the same to happen to her unborn daughter. Because of my existence, in some sort of way, two women were freed from an abusive, manipulative, bigoted, unstable asshole... and I guess that is something to be grateful for in all of this mess.
Watching Hope Floats makes me glad I didn't even try with my baby's dad...
There's nothing more painful for a child than finding out a parent, mama or daddy, doesn't want you. If you so much as think you're not gonna do right by your child, you better walk away before they even know you. That's better than breaking that baby's heart when you walk away later on.
