So many people! Madoka had learned to be less shy than she once had, but seeing so many at once was surprising. "Hello!" she said. "My name is Madoka Kaname. What's yours?"

Analyzing Deuce
she's proper, kind, and like I said sweet. defiantly not her Mother's child. can I just take a moment to say it's astonishing Arecia raised these kids. she smokes all day 24/7, she's in your face, and she's kind of down right rude to anyone not in Class Zero. and then there's the kids she brought up like Deuce politely giving direction to a total stranger who happened to get lost of campus. honestly I don't know how she managed to get by all these years without rubbing off of them. pretty sure you can't get personality from genetic???
if I really tried I bet I could pick out a piece of her personality out of all 12 of them though.
annnnnnnyway, enough of Mama. let's skip to family. she does love her classmates dearly and holds a positive opinion on each them. that being said I'm sure she can find their faults too. she's very observational and never sees anything as one-sided. she's level head and that's a great thing to have in her character strengths. she records her opinions in her journal:
Everyone has come together as one, Mother said once. Eight-san’s legs are very fast. No one catch up to him. Trey-san is very knowledgeable about things. Cater-san has been using magic ever since the start. King-san doesn’t talk much, but he’s very kind. Seven-san is very calm and composed. Queen-san is very smart. Nine-san is able to lead everyone into battle. Sice-san is foul-mouthed, but she’s always protecting everyone. Although Cinque-san is a girl, she has great strength. Jack-san is very interesting, and Ace-san is very good at singing. Next time, I want him to sing for my musical performance. With everyone together, I feel like we can do anything.
from here again. still awesome. still promoting it to those interested in type 0.
'Jack is interesting' made me giggle. she skips right to Ace like she doesn't really care to talk about how he's 'interesting'. poor thing always gets the short end of the stick, kekekeke. Sice got a nice little insult too though so I shouldn't say that I guess.
you can see that's she not blunt. she mixes the truth in with a little kindness. if she says something bad she offsets it with thing she finds admirable. but I do think that's because she's talking about family. as sweet as she is I can't see her saying anything nice about the Milites.
now, on the infamous scene where Jack calls her scary ('interesting' right??). sweet can turn real fast. Deuce is very serious about battle. her battle style is admittedly the cutest thing ever and one of my favorites but she IS independent. I don't know about anyone else but the Deuce in my game has a tendency to skip wander away from the group. and I know it's not really fair to take away from that since it doesn't have any impact of the story but it just SCREAMS independence to me because everyone else else huddles around one enemy and there's Deuce skipping away, playing her song, and kicking some serious rear end.
okay okay I wondered from my train of thought. the scene where Ace is about to be attacked and Deuce defends him that's what I was going to talk about. there's this weird thing where everyone thinks she's all buddy buddy with the person attacking them?? she doesn't know Celestia. they aren't friends. they only spoke once before. there isn't anything in the whole world stopping her from going right through Deuce to Ace. she just didn't want Ace to get hurt.
she's loyal and brave and once again level headed in the face of danger. threaten her friends? she'll take you down or die trying. that's scary. blind loyalty can be scary and dangerous and Deuce knows how to use it. she twisted it into bravery and it worked because Jack is right. she can be scary all for the sake of her family.
okay I'm just a gonna skip to the ending before I start over analyzing her little head gestures ftkiluiiuu.
she doesn't really say much but I'd say she was the most cheery of the group. asking 'how flowers bloom' that really sparked everyone's imagination. and can I just say that it made the whole ending just that much sadder? that one little question broke my heart. kids usually start learning that stuff around 12 and here are these kids most of them well on there way to being 18, adults, asking about it. why? not because they're dumb. not even close. because they spent their whole lives living and breathing for this war. learning everything about it, nothing before it, and the certainly weren't taught what to do after it. they were soldiers. simply soldiers. tools to start and fight on in a war. but they ended it. and for what? so they could never learn how flowers grow? no. so other kids could learn how flowers grow. so the world still have flowers growing. they weren't really soldiers. they were children and they did all of that. and Deuce knows that. Deuce knows that she'll never learn. but someone else will. someone out there. so she can smile. and she does.
RUN~ <3
The air was pungent and intolerable and the sky was drained of it's bright blue. No, there was no hope in the sky today. Because today it came down a dingy red. A color Cinque was all too accommodated with. The color of blood long forgotten. Shriveled up and dried, left on many a fallen solider's clothes. What were his final moments like? Had he reached out for help? Had he been ignored? Was he forgotten where he lie all because that blood, the blood that was still gushing out, had sealed his fate?
As she dwelled on this one fallen solider many appeared. Out of thin air these dying men came. All reaching out. All groaning. All searching for their last words. The ghastly glow of phantoma oozed off of them. Some on it came closer to her but mostly of it swirled dark and ominous in the air. A solid figure formed in the middle of it. Cinque wanted to run. She tried. But there her feet stayed plastered where she stood. Surrounded by dying men and this new emerging figure she tried to scream. Call for help. Her mouth opened. Her heart pounded in her chest. The pain in her throat that came with screaming was there. But nothing came out.
Surely, no one would come she thought. But suddenly a figure appeared in front of her. There was Number Two, something had carried her into existence on this barren plain and with her arrival came the War God Alexander out of the phantoma as if they were destined to face each other here and now. The thing all these men were dying for. He blocked out the dingy red sky that had seemingly began this whole thing. She cursed that sky. That horrible, horrible cursed sky.
In front of her stood Deuce arm held out steadfast and protective. RUN! Everything her screamed RUN! Get away! Oh please get away. But she didn't. She stayed. She protected. She was killed. In one blinding light the god had killed the brunette leaving Cinque standing there where she was cursed to stay during this whole horrible event stained in her blood. Oh yes, that horrible blood. It was red and gleaming. It was a color she was far too accommodated with.
Ah, Cinque... [[HAI I JUST WANTED TO SAY HAI BECAUSE MY DASH IS DEAD AND HEY THERE'S CINQUE~~~]]
Ah, Deuce~!!

OAO
It was already halfway through the day when King emerged from his room. Since the gunman had already missed his morning class, he headed straight to the cafeteria to fill his aching stomach with food. The nasty aftertaste in his mouth and the pounding headache pointed to a hangover but how in the world did he get drunk in the first place? Releasing a sigh, he pushed his irritation aside and instead focused on getting his food and finding a place to eat.
King + Deuce } War's Consequence
A yawn escaped the tall student’s mouth as he stretched his arms high up into the air. Passive eyes shifted to look out the window of the airship, observing the landscape beneath them for their destination. Recently there had been an attack on one of their camps that surprised and overwhelmed the soldiers stationed there. Because of how die the situation was he wasn’t given any time to prepare or think before being shipped out to the site.
Rubbing the back of his neck, King decided not to be too concerned with the lack of info as he turned to search for Deuce who had also been assigned to this mission. It was a fairly straight forward assignment: go in and push back the enemy to keep our ground. So for now, he’ll figured it’d be best to just check on the flutist to see if she was ready.
