What were you listening to in 2003?
Metamorphosis by Hilary Duff. Also, JLo’s “Jenny from the Block” was my anthem that year. Lest anyone reading this interview project any negative judgment upon the musical tastes of my 2003 self, keep in mind that my 2003 self was twelve.
“There wasn’t any structure or formula to the way the songs came to be – a lot of them were written in empty dormitory stairwells at 3 a.m.”
