3. Brothers, sisters? Who do they like? Why? What do they despise about their siblings?
rhaegar
viserys always adored his elder brother . he looked up to him and cherished the few times he was allowed to see the other . still , part of him blamed rhaegar for the fall of their family in the end . had his brother been a better fighter or perhaps had he not run off with the stark girl , maybe the throne would have fallen to him at their father ‘ s death and viserys and his mother ( and eventually dany ) could have lived the lives that viserys feels they deserved .
daenerys
this is a hard one . first , viserys loves his sister . he never stops loving her , ever - even when he dies he still loves her . but he could not help but to BLAME her for the death of his mother , even though he knows that it wasn ‘ t really dany ‘ s fault . viserys was far more kind to his sister in the beginning - before his heart hardened into a cold stone shell . he always made sure she had food , even if he went without , and he didn ‘ t hate her for that . the cruelty came later . when he sold their mother ‘ s crown , viserys lost all hope . all that remained was thoughts of REVENGE . revenge on the lannisters , on the baratheons and on the people of essos who laughed &. called him BEGGAR KING . he ‘ d never intended to hurt her in the beginning , but he found it brought him a sense of power &. control that he could not find elsewhere .
8. How does your character feel about religion?
he thinks religion is a fool ‘ s game . if there were gods then , in his mind , his father &. mother &. brother would not be DEAD .
9. What about political beliefs?
surprisingly enough , viserys doesn ‘ t think much about politics . he ‘ s so focused on regaining the throne that he doesn ‘ t have much of a plan for what to do if he gets it . for verses when he ‘ s king , his political stance is easily influenced by his queen / consort . so long as the kingdom is his , he ‘ s fairly willing to listen to reason . as he matures , he does make an effort to better the lives of the poor as he remembers how hard his own life was in essos . he ‘ s a surprisingly good king , all things considered . loved by the smallfolk who never have to interact with him , but the nobility are wary due to a slew of post - war executions of those courtiers who found themselves on the king ‘ s bad side .
