Rhys was absolutely mesmerized. His eyes moved slowly over the alien’s features, taking in as much as he absolutely could. He hadn’t been lying, their appearance had absolutely taken his breath away. Eventually mismatched orbs land on what he assumed to be the main set of Zer0′s eyes. It had finally processed that his counterpart had returned the compliment and he laughed in disbelief.

“May I touch you..?” He asked, fingers twitching at his side.

“Behind the veil of / the universe you perceive / there are entities." A pause, "Ageless and foul."

“..H.. Huh. Is that right..” Jack muses, eyes fixed on the deadly blade drawn in his direction. He’s splayed out in his bed, still halfway-drowsy between being startled and vaguely turned on. He sucks in his gut to succinctly avoid the gleaming tip, not a hundred percent in the mood for being vivisected this fine morning. He mulls over this apparent arcane knowledge, wondering if this is just a particularly fucked up dream. Had he done drugs? Was he on drugs right now?

“While I’m pretty damn impressed that you managed to get in here without alerting any of my guards, I gotta be honest with you: I don’t know what the fuck that means.”

“Zer0! You absolute BAMF! Long time, no see!” Gaige was delighted to see a friendly face-- or a friendly helmet, as it were. Ever since they lost Maya things had been-- tough. Gaige had the news broken to her by Hammerlock, and told Axton in kind. No one could get a hold of Salvador-- or knew where he was.

“Sorry I didn’t come when-- you know.” She explained sheepishly. Deathtrap, a machine far too attuned to her mental state, let out a sad purr. He missed Maya too.

Rhys couldn’t stop the laugh that tumbled out past his lips. It wasn’t like he’d wanted to, but it wasn’t often Zer0 would say something like this. It was just too good. The CEO let his chin rest on his hand as he took in the alien’s form. They were right, though, covered head to toe in blood and viscera. Quite a sight.

“Yeah but you’re a cool crime scene.” His other hand absently tapped at the desk. “Why don’t you take the rest of the day off? Go home and get clean?”
