“DAD.“ there are not many instances in which James sees his father distrait or showing this amount of emotions. he knows his dad is not emotionless though. but still, it reaches his core to see how he is right now. “thank you. i’m also proud, of the man you raised me to be.” and he knows it’s difficult, being a superhero, being captain america and everyone’s eyes on him. “ i know mom would be proud too.” and he knows his mom being gone can be difficult too. james reaches over, and while he is as tall as his father now, he hunches over, almost like a child, and hides his face in the older man’s shoulder. “you don’t have to worry. you will be there with me, right?”
