When I'm in serious writer mode I dab a little of this behind my ears. #sweetteaapothecary #deadwriters #favoritethingsfriday
The More You Know...
Looking for something to read before we announce our first book on Sunday? A great way to get the ball rolling would be DeadWriters! Learn about your favorite bygone authors, or discover a new writer to tickle your fancy. Learning about the author can unearth new plot connections you may never have noticed - and sometimes their stories can be just as interesting as their beloved novels!
In homage to Deadwriters, I'm offering all my newfound (and cherished) followers a glimpse into Charles Portis' life, care of New York Times writer Charles McGrath. Charles Portis is the author of The Dog of the Summer, one of the novels up to vote for this month's book.
"The Elusive Charles Portis" - Charles McGrath
P.S. Don't forget to vote for the first book we'll be reading! Look for the announcement on Sunday April 17th.
