Could you write a hc where Joe or Deaky's s/o has really REALLY bad eczema on their hands and it hurts and itches a lot and one way for the s/o not to scratch is to just hold Joe/Deaky's hands? Sounds dumb im sorry 😩😩 thank you 😊
Hello there! It’s not dumb at all. And I think I will go with John Richard Deacon since other than ships I haven’t written anything for him in a bit!
When John first asked for you hand, you hesitated.
But looking down, the red bumps were less obvious.
So you obliged, and he smiled thankfully.
As you both walked, you quickly said “John, I have to tell you, I have eczema and it’s bad...”
“Eczema? Oh darling, that’s miserable,” he replied with a sympathetic frown.
As you explain your case, he assured you that it did nothing to damage his view of you.
And your hands seemed to be neutral around him since you two began going to restaurants and kissing.
But it got worse one day.
And worse...and worse...
And tonight you both were just going to hang out.
Swearing under your breath, your eczema was driving you crazy. You just wanted to enjoy a nice, quiet evening of television with John but the itching would not stop!
Sucking your breath, you tried to take in John’s little smiles at you, or the plot of the show. But at this point, the villain could have been revealed to be the hero’s father and the itch would still overpower it.
Stretching a hand to scratch it lightly, those horrible red bumps appeared again. And the itch transformed into pain.
“Y/N! It’s that actor! Do you see him?” Deaky pointed out, only to turn to you. His soft, brown eyes went down
“It’s hurting again?” he asked.
Exhaling a jolt of pain in your hands, you nodded.
He took his long, graceful fingers- lined from bass playing for hours on end- and took them in yours. The pain subsided.
Pulling you close, you rested your head against his shoulder and he scooted you to sit on his lap. Looking down, you could make out his gap-toothed smile.
“Better?” he asked.
You kissed his cheek.
“Like it never happened, John.”
“As long as you’re okay, I’ll hold on, Y/N.”
