Do you know anything about the dealfish? I just learned of it, and it looks like a cross between a look down and a smaller oar fish! It's pretty neat looking
Sure I do! I've even made a fish fact on them, DFF#846! Very little information on them exists since they're encountered rarely, and a lot of what is known can be applied to fellow ribbonfishes. Dealfish (Trachipterus arcticus) live in the northern parts of the Atlantic Ocean, they live up to 600 meters deep, they hunt fish and squid, they likely swim by undulating their dorsal fin similarly to other ribbonfish, their maximum reached size is 3 meters long, and they sometimes congregate for unknown purposes. For deals, perhaps!
People in the notes of the fish fact describe a dealfish looking like a "living cleaver blade", "plastic sheet", "shrunk oarfish", "disposable silver plate rim", "eyebrow", "scrap metal", "knife", "piece of aluminum foil", "leaf", and "cardboard cutout looking mf".
