KINGDOM ARCHITECTURE. ENGAGING RELIGIOUS AND PERSONALITY CONFLICT IN THE...
Discover the reasons why conflicts arise, how it happens to all, and how you can resolve them effectively with your future foreign bride.
Honestly, one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give to people is learn how to deal with conflict. This is something that is very much a fly or fall kind of thing; you either figure it out or you suffer your whole life. Because let's be honest, neither running and avoiding it nor getting combative about it is an appropriate reaction. Am I saying I know the secret? Absolutely not. I have no idea. I just know that a middle ground exists and it's important to strive to find that place. There are situations where you need to sit down and have a constructive discussion with another person or persons about an issue and it's so important that you try to have an even keel approach. Don't just hide and let them walk all over you; but don't scream World Star and deck them either. There is much to be said for trying to listen and understand the other side while standing up for you and your needs. If you have a problem with someone find a way to talk to them about it. It might do you both some good.
"I had outwardly projected my internal struggle onto my surrounding world, and it was being reflected right back at me, compelling me to notice—refusing to let me bury my head in the sand for the umpteenth time." - Unknown, Dealing with Conflict: Knowing When the Battle Is Internal http://tinybuddha.com/blog/dealing-with-conflict-knowing-when-the-battle-is-internal/
