Descendant of famous Irish witch Morrigan and Salazar Slytherin
her aunt Gormlaith Gaun, who murdered her parents and kidnapped her when she was 5 years old, refused to let her go to Hogwarts or own a wand
escaped at 12 years of age by disguising as a Muggle (No-Maj) boy called Elias Story and boarding the Mayflower in 1620 and stole her aunt’s wand, which was actually Salazar Slytherin’s himself (unbeknownst to her)
Prevented the Hidebehind from disemboweling the Pukwudgie, who reluctantly declared to be in her debt
Named the magical creature “William”, after her father
Most fascinated by the Horned Serpent, especially because she could understand what it spoke
Rescued two small boys from the same Hidebehind, named Chadwick and Webster, Boot whom later turned to be wizards
ran into the No-Maj, James Steward, fell in love with him and with his help, built a stone house atop Greylock, which she named Ilvermorny
Vowed to the Boot boys, whom she considered her sons, that when they turned 11, she would find them a wand and they would start their magical education in their stone cottage, Ilvermorny
Modeled after Hogwarts, Ilvermorny had four houses that were named after each person’s favorite magical beast (Isolt’s chose the Horned Serpent)
Before Chadwick’s 11th birthday, Isolt had a dream where she visited the Horned Serpent and it allowed her to to shave a piece of its horn
Thus created a magical wand of ash and horn with the help of her husband
Reputation of their little home school grew and a couple other students joined them, each sharing their own magical experience with the family
News soon reached Gormlaith about a magical school in Massachusetts, which allowed anyone with magic to learn its secrets, who secretly traveled across to seas, intent on laying waste to all that Isolt had built
Enchanted a spell which caused Isolt and James to fall into an deep sleep, but missed the two Boot boys (as their wands were made of the horn of the river serpent)
A terrible battle took place and when Isolt was torn awake from her sleep, she cried out for her murdered father, unknowingly bringing back William the Pukwudgie, who killed Gormlaith and later became the school’s security service
the little home school became a great castle and Isolt and James served as joint Headmaster and Headmistress for many years, living to be over a 100 years old
Thus the little girl who wished to go to Hogwarts founded the North American equivalent
