Rent lowering gunshots - Men belong at pride. If you go into that space and say things like "I just hate all men" or "only fictional men are okay" loudly and very much in public I quite frankly dont give a shit about you, your identity, and I dont feel safe around you. Trans men belong at pride. Gay men belong at pride. Men of color, disabled men, masc leaning nonbinary people, and even cishet men belong at pride. Pride is for everyone and there should be zero room for you to talk about how much you hate men there.
I can understand hating a specific shitty man, hating a set of behaviors, hating misogyny and/or the patriarchy. Those are absolutely things that should be discussed and spoken out against. But if someone at pride were to loudly proclaim "im a gay man so I just hate all women" they would be metaphorically burned at the stake by the community. Somehow when its a lesbian saying how much she hates men its totally fine and normal as if there aren't so many men being equally marginalized by the same system you hate. I see this shit constantly here on tumblr, I dont fucking need it irl. Fuck you get out of my pride.
