Sam sat with his head in his hands. “He must have heard your voice, thought you were my girlfriend.” Sam whispered.
“You...you really like this guy, yeah?”
Sam sighed and nodded. “Love. Deeply.”
“I’m sorry dude, you want me to go get him? Bring him back? I can kick his ass, if you want me to.”
“I can’t,” Sam didn’t laugh. “He’s gone.”
“Nah dude. He’s sitting in that black car down there. The really loud one. He’s just sitting in there and he’s like reading or something. Come see.” Sam let his roommate lead him through her bedroom to look out the back window. Sure enough, there was Dean, sitting in the Impala.
Sam let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding.
“Dean!” he called. Dean turned at the sound of his brother’s voice.
“Damn, that dude looks just like me, except with short hair! This the man of your dreams?”
Sam smiled so hard his cheeks hurt. He sighed, “yeah,”
“I don’t know if I should be honored or offended.”
Sam looked his roommate in the eyes and smiled. “Be honored,” he said as he climbed out the window and ran towards his brother, grabbing the envelope as he went.
