look, i know Regarding Dean is a sad episode in a lot of ways — specifically that mirror scene, gosh — but it was also such an interesting concept. like. sam could’ve done SO much more with that. his cute ass went around labelling shit like “lamp” — can you imagine what would’ve happened if cas was in that episode and sam labelled him “boyfriend”???? just because sam is So Sick of Their Shit and figured at least this way they’d be forced to talk about??? sam winchester, you could’ve done the funniest and also best thing EVER.

like — imagine dean, pretty much memory wiped at this point, sitting on the corner of his bed and watching this dark-haired man in a trench-coat walk into the motel room, wearing a little yellow label that reads, “boyfriend.” imagine dean grinning and chuckling a little awkwardly, pointing at the note on this man’s chest and going, “boyfriend, huh? as in, my boyfriend?” and the man opens his mouth to respond but dean is already standing and crossing the distance between them, only stopping when they’re nearly chest to chest. “well, uh —” and then he leans forward and just. plants a kiss right on castiel’s lips, and says, “sorry i don’t remember you, handsome, but i s’pose that’s how i usually say heya, right?”
