Carry On Just Being

Ive been wondering what to write tday for #CarryOn 2nd Anni. S’thing poignant and meaningful abt brotherhood, friendship, family, love, commitment perhaps, but when it came down to it & I rewatched Dean's death scene again and sobbed uncontrollably at its beauty, intimacy & delivery I realised none of these words truly captured the end of this 15 yr journey.

What captured it was actually what Cas had said so perfectly in his passing. It was abt the ‘just being’, & that’s what Dean & Sam did; they were there, just being who they were, together to the end. They were always being present, whether that was in each other’s lives, in the lives of those they loved, worked with & even hunted, as well as in our lives as characters in a story.

We as fans have a ‘profound bond’ with this series; its characters & the actors that portrayed them & we will all keep on ‘being’ present because that’s what it means to be human & communally share this journey together.
